jimmykc Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Up arrow for first ever recognition for the unheralded semicolon. The colon traditionally receives all the publicity. Mr. Red and AuroranHusker 2 Quote

huskerbaseball13 Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Speaking of Bakari...any idea if he is going to play tonight? How about Jacobson? Quote
hhcmatt Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Speaking of Bakari...any idea if he is going to play tonight? How about Jacobson? I believe Bakari is questionable to play with the bum ankle while Jacobson might see a few minutes tonight as he's not back to full speed. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 I don't remember exactly the distinction but there was some rule about who could play in an exhibition game and still preserve their redshirts. I am pretty sure that anyone not eligible for the season due to transfer rules is similarly not eligible to participate in the exhibition game. I think any freshman could play and still redshirt. Was it juco transfers who couldn't play the exhibition and still redshirt? I can't recall. In any event, I don't think we have any guys tonight who would sit out in order to preserve a redshirt, because all the newcomers are either freshmen or a guy who has to sit out no matter what. Quote
bleujay Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 I will be in attendance with a friend, wearing Husker colors. Very excited to see the new guys in action and form my opinions on who will get the most playing time Quote

True freshmen can play in the exhibition (and still redshirt), as can JUCO transfers red-shirting. School transfers within Division I can not do both... Do, or do not; there is no try. Quote
