To complement that thread discussing the best win...I will follow it with perhaps a more germane question.  Coach Miles has said that effort against Iowa was unacceptable.  Attention to detail was missing.  Earlier in the year he stated that we are not the type of team that can simply show up and win.  So all that said, which of our losses should have been a predictor of what our future held this year?

This isn't exactly answering your question, but it's worth noting that Iowa was our worst result of the year after the spread. It was a 26.5 point "loss" against the spread. There wasn't a line for Incarnate Word, but I don't think it would have been that large.

Sucks;

But Iowa ...

Blows!  :)

Is that why Council Bluffs is so windy?

That and the flatulent hookers who hang out on Broadway.

Speaking from experience there, Normie?

Only in the sense that I stopped at a gas station there and couldn't breathe.  Eyes were watering.  That sort of thing.

Station attendant directed my attention to a cluster of scantily-clad, middle-aged, obese women with no teeth.  Naturally, I assumed they were ... self-employed in a segment of the adult entertainment industry.  I suppose it's possible, however, that women in Counciltucky just dress like that generally.

Incarnate Word, I mean when you lose to a team that 90% of your fan base has no clue where it is or that they play Div 1 ball it's bad

Only 90%?

Well okay 95%

Honestly the Rhode Island game.  The players pipe dream of an undefeated season came crashing down and they were hungover from that loss all the way into the UNO game, they got behind by quite a bit against UNO in the first half and Miles was quoted as saying that was them still being hungover from the Rhode Island game.  I dunno, maybe they couldn't handle seeing an opposing team's fanbase storm the court because of them losing.  It probably made them realize they were now the hunted.

Michigan. The team Michigan put out there that night was not good. It's improved, but that was the first night without Walton - LaVert was already out - with a dead, disinterested crowd.

IW popped the bubble for most folks, especially those who don't follow hoops like this board. You just can't lose at home to a team no one has heard of and maintain any credibility as a national power. It would be like the Husker football team losing at Memorial stadium to Lambuth (it is a college, look it up).  No excuses,it just can not happen.

Hey now I was assuming guys like Norm, dimes, 49r, and silver could have rattled off the location without effort.  Plus as a scientist, you've got to many significant digits!

I did look it up, and it turns out it was a college!

The first sentence of Wikipedia reads "Lambuth University was a liberal arts university located in Jackson, Tennessee, and active from 1843 to 2011."

Well as long as we don't lose to Faber College
