Miles is pretty optimistic about things, sounds like.

Pitchford has grown up a lot and didn't sulk about lack of shot opportunities like he might have last year (remember his little tantrum after the Baylor loss where they had to talk about his role on the team and returning ... or not?)  Plus, this wasn't mentioned last night but everyone's been saying he's been shooting the ball better.

As to Webster, Miles was just effusive with his praise.  Worked super hard with Terran during what was their month off.  Really benefited from playing in the FIBA Worlds.  Looks confident.  Shot looks good, etc.

Shields is just an all-around great kid.  Benny's improved offensively.

And it all seemed genuine.  Didn't seem like coach-speak.  Seemed like an honest-to-goodness run-down of his mental impressions about his players right now.

Loved it.  Typical Miles.

I don't watch this show a lot.  Was this a one off? or could it lead to a Big Red Wrap up during Basketball season that focuses exclusively on Basketball? I know with Football you have this show and the Bo Pelini Show (or whatever it's called) but with Basketball there's just the one Bank of the West Nebraska Basketball show.

Did he actually sneak the word "shit" in there?  Anybody else catch that?

Nice.   :)

#NoSitSunday was borne out of "no s#it" reply by Miles to Harrison at the notion at beating Wisc will get NU in the Big Dance. Miles' cup runneth over... ;)

Shoot if we go to the sweet 16 I'll get a star tattoo even though my wife would have a fit, but since she doesn't want to see me without clothes on it will be easy to hide...or I can save a ton of money on body waxing and just let the hair grow!

Yeah, of course, and we've all heard him explain it a dozen times, but I think this time he actually let the s word slip.  IIRC, he said it like this on BRW:

"...and I said no *kidding* Sherlock, except I didn't say 'kidding' it was something else, rhymes with 'shit'..."

Normally the punchline here is him just saying "rhymes with 'sit'" and that's it.  But this time I think he got the h in there.  I might have mis-heard it too...  :)

You might have filled in the blanks there, 9er!  At least I didn't notice any S#it talk the other night... ;)
