Out of Gary Parrish's rankings, Nebraska will face at least 7 of those teams (and possibly an 8th team with #25 Cincy in NYC): Maryland (#4), Michigan State (#11), Villanova (#12), Indiana (#13), Wisconsin (#17), Miami (#21), and Purdue (#26). And, Nebrasketball will play Indiana & Purdue twice.

It's not where you start; It's where you finish.  :)

True, but it is a 'starting point' for discussion, as in 10 games against preseason ranked teams would be roughly 1/3 of the schedule. Talk among yourselves...  :P

Can someone in the rules know explain why in years past, it was whispered who won these contests while we were told releasing  stats or scores was forbidden, yet, this year we have precise scores, percentages, individual stats, etc.?

Is this a change in the NCAA rules?

Creighton over Upper Iowa 113-77

Yeah, just visited with my brother-in-law (a big Creighton fan) who indicated that this was a fantastic defensive battle (sarcasm).  He said until/unless the Jays learn how to play defense, this may be a long year for them.

Buried in the final thoughts of the isportsweb story of Michigan State beating Ferris State in an exhibition game was this gem:

FINAL THOUGHTS:

  1. The loudest the crowd got all evening was when the 15,000 in the Breslin Center booed in unison at the display of the Nebraska basketball score against Northern State. There are obviously still bitter feelings about Saturday’s football contest.

I hope they cheer up before 1/20.
