Lue ($5), Fort ($3; perhaps the best value on the board), Petteway ($3, going for his D over Pike), Farmer ($1; lackluster group other than Smith), and Maric ($1). $2 left in the bank. Sorta like the Oakland As.

I'll take Jamar Johnson for $0; Nate Johnson for $0; Stan Cloudy for $0; Carl McPipe for $0; and Derrick Chandler for $0 and still beat whoever you guys pick 3 games out of 10.

Norm, ya tight wad, spend some damn money. You would have no quickness at the point, Nate would be fine, Stan would be too tired from the night before with several ladies to help you much in a pickup game, with McPipe you better hope the game isn't played in Colorado, and Chandler would be fine. I'd say you might get us 1 out of 10.

OK, so, no offense to Bruce Chubick, but when I see him listed as basically the 2nd best Husker PF of ALL TIME, I'm thinking, hmmm, no wonder we aren't considered a traditional basketball power.

 

Then I got to wondering what kind of team I could put together with guys who didn't make their list and that's when I came up with the above.
