First off I start my post with I know the guy and watching from home knew immediately it was him. I text him and asked if he heckled the player, he said no the coach was thrown out. Needless to say guys it's been a long night for him and he knows it wasn't a smart decision. His name will not be divulged so do not ask me.

Don't need to know who it is, but I am curious if he heckled the coach, the player or their team in general?!

Lol no one wants to know it. Glad he is owning up to it. I will say I respected his intensity in the game. Plus that old shirt was back from collier days so he must be a die hard. Glad it sounds like he learned his lesson now lets just channel his energy and everyone else's for good old Purdue Sunday!

He legitimately thought the head coach was thrown out and not a player that he was yelling at until I told him no it wasn't a coach. I'm sure we've all had a night we regret and that's his tonight. He feels horrible. He's a die hard Husker fan that just had too much before the game. Trust me he was reprimanded later and that's it.

Gotcha, didn't really understand what you'd written earlier about it. Thanks for clarifying...

I'm sure we've all made our share of mistakes but if he mistook Brandon for Chambers he had WAY too many before the game.

Watching it back the Caucasian assistant that walks him out is the only one that looks back so I have to assume there was confusion there and not with the player per se.

And while we are on the subject of unruly fans- The Redzoners who threw the crumpled paper on the floor along with the confetti toss.  Better be careful because too many incidents like that, and I can see the administration attempting to take the newspaper away

Oh the newspaper. If any of you were there more than an hour early, me and three other students went around and put newspaper on the first 2 rows of the 200 section, hoping they would throw it down, which would be sweet. However, when we were about 3/4 of the way through, the PBA staff picked every single paper up and said we couldn't do it. Not sure what we were hurting, but after that incident, I doubt we will ever get that cleared with PBA or the University.

I think Dr Tom would use this incident as an example of why alcohol shouldn't be served.

It's weird to me when some husker fans don't show good sportsmanship. It's like they don't understand our state and fan base has a good reputation. He could have done serious damage to that reputation.

If he would have been decked we would have been on sports center and talk radio across the nation for the wrong reasons.

Amazing that some people can't stand and at lead clap.

Also ugh the clearing out of the lower level section 115-119 At under 4 time out stunk again.

I was in 119 and we were empty all around us at the 2 min mark. We will never with that battle

I'm in 115 and many of us stayed...but it wasn't just the lower level, it was everywhere...it is simply more visible when they parade out in front of the students.  That said, as long as that game was, and the fact that we blew them out (even though they closed a bit at the end) I am surprised many of the fans stayed around as long as they did.

I think that if they decide to make alcohol served during games, there will be more of these incidents. After all some jerk at Texas Tech was able to provoke Smart into a three game suspension, get some publicity and love from fellow jerks, and a very cursory slap on the wrist for similar behavior this year in the Lone Star state.

The problem is the floor is wide open and they let anybody walk around down there at any point in time before or during the game.  Too much space to control.

Simple solution would be to just not allow anybody onto the floor other than students/courtside.  Just have those floor access points roped off or something beginning at 5 minutes before tipoff or something, until after the game.  This would also control the assholes leaving early via the floor in front of the students.

HEEEEEEEEEY!!!!  THIS GIVES ME AN IDEA!!!!!

The university now has justification for walling off that corner exit.  No one on the floor during the game.  You wanna leave early?  You leave out the upper exits, not the floor-level exits.  Crowd control, y'know?  Don't want any ugly incidents with fans coming into contact with players from the opposing teams.

Considering that only students can enter from that lower tunnel, it baffles me why they let anyone leave out of that exit.

If I was in that end student section, I'd save up my wadded up newspaper and crap to throw at all the fans streaming for that exit at the last media timeout.  Really.  Just throw crap at them.  And boo them.

I'd kind of like to know who the idiot(s) was/were that threw the propeller things on the court when the students tossed the paper up. That was a total bonehead move on their parts.  We don't need our fans giving us a T.

The big problem was someone rolled up a ball of newspaper and chucked it right in front of the Penn State bench. It came from behind us so we have no clue who threw it.
