B1G Standings Over Last Month

Obviously we know where we stand with our 0-4 start, but over the past calendar month (last 8 league games for each team), it's crazy to see how we compare to the rest of the Big Ten:

 

1. Nebraska 6-2

T2. Iowa 5-3

T2. Michigan 5-3

T2. Michigan State 5-3

T2. Ohio State 5-3

T2. Wisconsin 5-3

T7. Northwestern 4-4

T7. Penn State 4-4

T9. Minnesota 3-5

T9. Purdue 3-5

11. Indiana 2-6

12. Illinois 1-7

I think what's more impressive is who the wins came against (2 2 7 9 and 12)

Purdue?  We kinda let that one slip away.  And we almost completed a comeback against Creighton, so there's that one too.

well, hell, in the interest of cherry picking results, we led UAB at half, and coulda beat UMass, too!

 

I don't mind the Michigan loss. they were the better team that night, led comfortably most of the way, and only a ferocious comeback made it close when they stopped playing hard. It was a hard loss, but a just result.

 

The PSU game is the only one I can point to as a true regret game. And I still regret it. That loss is haunting us right now.

We should be undefeated.  FIRE TIM MILES.  He has the best player ever in Petteway and he can't even beat lowly Creighton or Cincinnati.

UAB sucks, but at least they have a win against a surging UNC team.

 

Purdue I'm not ready to call a game we should have won.  Purdue SCARES me.  Looking at their record and their games shows they are capable of putting up a fight in the B1G.  It looks like we're at a soft spot in our schedule, but no game is a gimme from here on out.
