I'm here to eat my crow. I was certain the fans would quiet down as the opponent names were introduced. It went 1000% better than I expected.

Good work in help organizing, Jadler. Definitely a tradition worth sticking around.

This can certainly make a visitor intimidated prior to tip-off. This better continue.

Any report on how the Husker Power chant went this time?

it was pretty loud imo. I didn't hear any of penn state players names
Agree could barely hear the names. Also I'm pretty sure they played one of the songs in this thread before the game

They played that afrojack remix song before the game, but that is probably one of the worst possible times to play it. IMO thats the song we want right after a timeout, skip a little of the intro and boom, place will be rocking. But the music at the PBA to be honest is kind of a buzz kill. Who ever the husker dj thingy or whatever he is called, does not do a very good job at playing songs at the correct times. But the song is sick if its played at the right time.

I think the drum line was in the hall. They had been in other places in the Vault tonight before the game.

that was a huge oops moment.

Yeah, drum line fail tonight.  That shouldn't happen.  Albeit it was pretty cool coming in to the arena with the drummers drumming.  Just ... stop for the anthem, OK?

And the Husker Power chant during opponent intros is priceless.  They didn't know what hit them.  And LOUD.  That was ear splitting loud.  Crowd obviously loved it.  Great idea, keep that one going.

HHC=Stockton, Dimes=Malone. No, but seriously...Good job by all!

Then who = Hornacek?
Dunno. Silverbacked is Jerry Sloan.
I would be honored to be in that company. I thought it went well and hopefully will be used for years to come.

HUSKER!!! ;)

Hope this becomes a staple and doesn't fade away if/when we lose a game we shouldn't.  I think it caught all of the players and coaches (from both sides) way off guard and set a little bit of a tone.

I agree.  This is the only thing we've ever done that, if you posted it on youtube, other fan bases would watch it and say, "We need to do something like that."

It's going to happen again on Sunday.

It should happen at every game going forward for the next 1000000 years, IMO

That was truly AWESOME!!!!!  I kid you not, I told my wife, "holy s**t" I've got goosebumps.  Keep it up everybody!

I'm with you.  I had goosebumps also.  There were still quite a few people in my section not doing it.  Hopefully we can get everyone doing it and blow the roof off the building.
