I think when we have Biggs, Webster, Gallegos Shields and Pitchford on the floor we can really stress a D. We can rotate guys in the post and Terran at the 2/3 and sprinkle in some Benny. When u watch this team, wow, if we had that one big on the block we would see this team sky rocket. We have some good pieces to begin our climb.

But I do love love love the idea of keeping those 3 guards (Webster, Biggs, Gallegos) on the floor together. That could be a really lethal trio. Each brings something just a little bit different. Teams will just have to decide what to take away, the drive or the wide open three. Can anybody who has seen Biggs play a little more say how his outside shot is? Like can he really fill it up or is he more or a streak shooter that is better off getting to the rim like we saw yesterday? That was a really nice kick out he had from underneath the basket to Gallegos for a three ball yesterday.

Definitely not a pure shooter or guy who "can really fill it up".  With Tai and Biggs, it will be important that they shoot it well enough from outside to keep a defender at least half way honest.  Those guys are the best at attacking the rim of anyone we've had in years.  But in the Big, it will be much harder to get to the rim than against substandard noncoference teams, particularly if we can't make them pay by leaving us open on the perimiter.  Tai has a long way to go with his outside shot; time will tell with Biggs.

In Miles' post game he mentioned Smith, Shields, Petteway, Webster, and Biggs/Gallegos as his top 5/6. He said that lineup looks really good together on the floor.

I think the thing that all those guys have in common is that they bring something to the table on both ends of the court.  Unless Pitch starts showing more on the defensive side of the ball you could soon see Smith starting instead.  Rivers and Parker look like good role players.

Personally I think that starting Big 10 conference play the starting lineup will probably look like this.......

1. Webster

2. Gallegos

3. Pettaway

4. Shields

5. Pichford

But I believe we'll see a lot of this lineup

1. Webster

2. Pettaway

3. Shields

4. Pichford

5. Smith

Another takeaway from the post-game interview with Miles was that he kinda sorta indicated that he feels like we are indeed ready for Charlotte.  Sort of a "Yep, we're ready" kind of comment and sounded like he meant it.  Just a little bit about seeing some things in the game Sunday to fix before we leave but we see what we need to fix and will spend the week fixing them.  But, otherwise, yep, we're ready.  That's what I got out of it.

I would agree. I just wonder how much time he can play compared to what we get w pitchford. I think we can spread the floor and pitchfords step out game is a way to pull a big out for better spacing. W smith we can attack rim and put bigs in foul trouble

I like these lineups, but the problem with that 2nd lineup and one of my biggest concerns of this year is if Pitchford and Smith get in foul trouble, what are we going to do??  It would have been nice (maybe still can) if Sergei could have developed into giving us 5-10 spot minutes per game.  David Rivers does a pretty good job down low but he is 6-7.

That's understandable.  But that's why I think the first lineup is what starts the game and you'll have rotations to protect those guys.  But that's probably what I think they'll have when it comes down to crunch time.
