For as inexperienced as our team is, this is a damn good schedule.  You mix this with the B10 schedule and I'm guessing we have a top 30 schedule in the Nation.  The Charleston Classic has some nice teams in it, then you throw in FGCU, Miami, Creighton and Cincy alone and that's tough.  Pretty sure I read somewhere that NU has 5 home games vs teams that made the Sweet 16 last year.  That alone is pretty crazy.

+1. This schedule is solid. The NonConference schedule is one of the better ones in the last decade or so. I believe Nebraska will end up with a top 30 schedule nationally and an RPI of 75 or higher.

Our only home games in January are Michigan, Ohio State, Minnesota and Indiana.

Then, in February, things soften up a bit with Illinois, Penn State and Purdue at home.

Out of the gates, the only "easy" opponents are on the road and the home games are mostly against probable upper division teams.  If we end the month of January with a 3-5 conference record, I'll be forced to be satisfied.

Schedule is really really tough. Seems we always play at OSU beginning of January and play more top tier teams in the first half of the conference season.

Would have been fun to have the New year's eve game at home.

Only one BIG Saturday home game (5 last year) is a joke.

It's sobering to look at our bball schedule every year in the BIG. Ridiculously good conference. And the ooc schedule is equally impressive. What makes me more excited is that we are going to be competitive soon.. Maybe even this year. When you put that many good teams on the ooc, it gives us a chance to get used to playing at a conference caliber level year round. It also helps prevent bad losses from happening. I fully support the CU series now, BTW, since they now have something that resembles a bb conference and are capable of earning a legitimate RPI.

February is softer than I first thought when I saw it come out, but dang, its still tough.  If the Huskers can find a way to pull a couple of upsets early in conference play, they might have a shot, but that's a brutal schedule. Swapping Michigan and Indiana for MSU and Wisconsin is an upgrade in difficulty and not getting Minnesota twice this year is a bummer.  nothing like a trial by fire.  Looking forward to watching it develop.

Michigan no doubt will be very, very good.  But they also lost some very key components as well.  I'm really hoping this year with the sold out arena we have a LEGIT home court advantage and surprise some teams at home.  Then we somehow, someway need to win a few road games.  No matter the case, I'm very excited about this upcoming season and what is in store for the future.

Lee B. said it best in his chat the other day.  He said we will have a more fun team to watch, and more than likely a much better team, but it may not show up in the wins column this year due to inexperience.
