Early bracketology

Here you go!  We are a way-too-early 5 seed.  Iowa an 8.  UConn a 1, Creighton a 5.

Yep it's way way to early.

Not sure about the 5 seed, the 2025 team has along way to go to gel with all the new players, and the loss of seniors.

But what the heck, number 5....will take it !

I think we should move up, but not enough to have a manageable game 2.

I was looking through various teams' schedules/records the past few days, and I have to wonder why Creighton is ranked?  Is it just so there can be another ranked team in the UConn+other teams conference (so the conference doesn't appear so weak)?  I cheer for Creighton frequently (unless they are playing us), and I'm all for them having strong athletic teams (makes our little state look better to have two DI schools do well in various sports, and now it appears UNO has a good men's team as well, so go Mavs), but outside of us early in the season, who has Creighton beaten to earn an at-large bid in the tourney?

I'll let you off easy for the Go Mavs. That one-- doesn't really bother me.

 

However, I can't let you off the hook for saying you actively cheer for Creighton. I'd rather Creighton lose every game they play than have a state with more than one team doing well.

Creighton getting some love from pollsters is kind of like Michigan State getting love. Not sure either one should be. Both on good years should be NCAA bound but ranked, well that can be debated.

Nebraska would have beaten Creighton, had the Huskers had Potts and a healthy Weidner.

What is everyones thought's on the seed that the Huskers will receive. Everything that I have seen says a 10 seed, but Coatney and Griesch Think anywhere from a 7 to 10 seed.

I would not want a 8-9 seed. Would rather be a 7 or 10. Actually think we have a better chance for a win in the 1st game.

I think 10 and would rather have it than 8 or 9.  One win in the tournament would be about the most we can hope.

So any surprises now that the brackets have been set? I for one feel there is too much love for Iowa. I did not see them as a 6 seed. I know they had a nice run late but saw them as a 8-9 seed.

I agree.  Way too much love for them and way too much for Creighton.
