From down 17 to winning in OT, that's quite a statement. Oregon 77-73 over Wisc.

Reminded me of the prior 2 seasons in which Nebraska downed Wisc. in Lincoln

Just goes to show how unpredictable play in the Big18 is this year. And now Minnesota is kicking Penn State's butt, though it is only in the first half.

There are no bad teams in the Big Ten. That's pretty amazing, actually.

The ACC has Miami (2-13, 6-20) and only nine teams over .500 in all games.

The Big XII is pretty strong, but Colorado (1-14, 10-16) sucks serious hind teat.

The Big East still has DePaul (2-14, 11-16) and Seton Hall (2-13, 7-19) has struggled mightily.

Hell, even the SEC has South Carolina (0-13, 10-16).

The last-place Big Ten team right now is Washington (4-11, 13-13). Rutgers (6-10, 13-14) is the only squad with a losing overall record.

Not a Husker opponent, but UNO clinched at least a share of the Summit title last night for the first time - can win it outright with one more win in a game they'll be heavily favored at home.

If they win the regular season title outright, they get 2 chances to make the NCAA tourney - win the Summit tourney themselves or have second-place St. Thomas win the Summit tourney - The Tommies are ineligible for the NCAA tourney while they transition to D-1 , so UNO would go as the regular season champ.

If they go, UNO is right on the edge of being one of the four lowest 16 seeds - as a bottom four seed, they'd be in Dayton & give them a roughly 50/50 shot at winning a game. I think they'll be seeded a little too high to end up in Dayton if they make the NCAAs, but if, say, they get upset in the Summit quarters and St. Thomas wins the whole thing, UNO could drop into one of those last four 16 seeds.

Saw during the Wisky-UO game yesterday that the last time every B1G team won at least 5 conference games was 2014. Could happen again this year, although we're playing 20 games now instead of 18 -- and there are a few more teams.

Hard to believe PU ever finished last with Painter in charge ... but it's actually happened twice in his time there.

Crazy game in Bloomington today. Purdue goes on 21-4 run to end the first half ahead 37-25. Then Indiana starts the 2nd half on a 28-3 run! Hoosiers win 73-58 over their rivals.

Pretty much sums up the Big Ten this year

My word, what a helluva finish.

Reminded me the Nebraska game with taking a long 3 with way to much time left on the clock.  Just makes no sense when players do this other than to get their five minutes of fame on ESPN.  This isn't a dig at Conner but just overall observation of how kids play at the end of games in tight situations.

Different situations. You don't want Conner passing up that open shot. Nebraska was losing when the shot was taken with 8-9 seconds left. You don't wait for the last shot. As a coach, you plan for and in practice drill for the worst. If you miss with enough time left, there is an opportunity for an offensive rebound and second chance, or you can foul and even if Michigan makes their free throws it's still a one possession game and you have another chance to tie or win.

The only thing you could maybe critique is that Brice shouldn't have passed the ball up and should've gone straight to the hole. But based on how things were going, the refs weren't going to call any amount of contact there. I think it was a well managed late game situation by the Huskers all around. We got two good looks in the last 8 seconds to win the game. Just missed. The bigger concern is some of the offensive decision making in the first 39:52 of the game.

The Maryland player, in a tie game, took an off the dribble contested long three with enough time left for Michigan State to get a rebound, take three or four dribbles and release a shot.

I agree with everything you said and as I mentioned, this was not aimed at Conner.  He was open and let it fly even though we only needed a 2 to win the game.  It was an open shot but only thing I didn't like was he was not having a good night shooting.  My post was more in general of kids taking ill advised shots in critical times just to be "the man".  That shot by Maryland was a horrible shot with game tied and it end up costing them the game.  There was no reason to pull up and take a long three in that situation other than you wanted to be the hero.  It just makes no sense to me.
