UCLA is handling North Carolina right now. They might be NET top 10 when they come to Lincoln in two weeks. Will be a big opportunity.

Welp, UNC came back and won. UCLA kinda pissed it away, but that second half was unwatchable. Nearly 50 fouls called in the game. The last 3 and a half minutes, there were only two shot attempts from the field. Everything else was just free throws.

On a different note, any coach that would knowingly agree to play Auburn in this "Battle in Birmingham" game is an absolute fool. IMO there is no bigger scum bag in men's college basketball than Bruce Pearl.

You are not wrong about Pearl, but also it is unquestionable that he produces results.  I would be over the moon if the Huskers had him as coach and produced the same results as he has at AU.

...yet he wins and wins.

I don't know, there are quite a few scum bag college coaches out there.  But I agree, Pearl is right up there on the list.

I might learn to live with it, but I definitely would not accompany you on your trip to the moon.

Perusing some opposing teams forums today and the Rutgers board is very akin to this board during the Bryce McGowens year. Big expectations, a faltering start, and despair about a season not yet half over.

Programs who aren’t used to having 5 star talent seem to think one or two 1-and-done players will solve everything. Washington (Markelle Fultz), LSU (Ben Simmons), Georgia (Anthony Edwards) and many others have learned the hard way that’s just not how it works.

This post summed it up well and Fred has done a much better job recruiting to a system.

In addition to all the comments regarding Rutgers, I think Princeton deserves a good deal of credit too. I was quite impressed with how hard they played defense, their hustle, and how fundamentally well they played. And it wasn't just the starters. Every player that came off the bench played that way. If their PG hadn't made a couple of mistakes late in the game trying to do too much they might have had a (somewhat) comfortable win.

Princeton definitely deserves credit and are always a fundamentally solid team. Remember when they were competing for an at large spot a few years back.

Bad news for Rutgers is they get a 10-1 Columbia team next Monday before going to Indiana. Then they host three straight home games against… checks schedule… Wisco, Purdue, and UCLA.  Ouch!

They could visit Lincoln at 8-9 or 7-10

Great win for the Bruins today. It's going to be a rock fight on 1/4.

They got a ton of big calls/no calls in this one including the zebras throwing out one of Gonzaga’s top 3 players halfway through the first half and then not reviewing an elbow to the face under a minute to go after earlier in the game calling a Gonzaga elbow to the face a flagrant 1.

It doesn't help that Gonzaga got boxed out at LAX:

North Florida started the season 3-0 with wins over South Carolina and Georgia Tech.

Today they fell to Austin Peay and sit at just 7-7.

Sucks because that could have easily been a Q3 win.

Tuned in at about the six and a half minute mark just in time to see Wil Breidenbach foul out but Washington knocks off Maryland.  It is tough to win on the road in college hoops.  (except for Illinois who drills Oregon in Eugene 109-77!)
