redsteve Posted December 10, 2022 Report Posted December 10, 2022 (edited) Samford's young and not to experienced. Has some height. Don't think we have any common previous opponents. We're playing at home, so unless we fall asleep at the wheel, expect to use up our roster tonight. Hope to see Issie back. Tom Jones Posted December 10, 2022 Report Posted December 10, 2022 wonder if MM will be back on the bench and in uniform. Maybe will even join the warmups. Also, let's see if Sam warms up and if so how she is moving. Quote

Neb Nets Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 Like seeing both the Kendalls in at the same time. I like their length on the defensive end. Montana_85 F and Red Don 1 1 Quote
Red Don Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Stats at the end of the First Qtr: Samford starts off strong, Good Defense. Husker Ladies have not been in the lead in the Quarter!! Edited December 11, 2022 by Red Don Quote
redsteve Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 Looks like Samford has us scouted pretty well, and can make their plan work defensively Red Don 1 Quote
Red Don Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Husker Ladies s seem to be trying to rush things. Lots of their passes are being picked-off, unable to finish at the rim! (Just as I say that Hake makes a Trey! ) Edited December 11, 2022 by Red Don Quote
Cazzie22 Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 Did the girls realize there was a game tonight? You have to respect every opponent. Clearly, we are limited on offense if we are unable to penetrate and shoot and make threes. Not an acceptable performance and hopefully, half time chewing might light a fire. huskerchode 1 Quote
Red Don Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 Samford 16; Huskers 15 at the Half. Lady Huskers have not had the lead in the game during the first half. Quote

Red Don Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Stats: Per Matt & Jeff this is the lowest scoring half Ever for the Husker Ladies. They attribute it to good defense (on the part of Both Teams) Edited December 11, 2022 by Red Don Neb Nets 1 Quote
Red Don Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 The first shot of the 2nd half (Allison Weidner) gives the Husker Ladies their First Lead of the Game!!! Quote

Red Don Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Husker Ladies come back from being down 1 at the half; to winning by 25: 71-46!!! Kendall Moriarty's three treys (almost back-to-back-to-back) were consequential in gaining separation. (As a team they went 11-29 from three. Per Matt & Jeff, this is the First time Huskers have had double-digit treys in three consecutive Games! ) Final Stats: Edited December 11, 2022 by Red Don Montana_85 F and 12dozen 1 1 Quote
Cazzie22 Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 Glad for the win but we cannot be the team we want to be with a first half performance such as tonight. Maybe I am not giving enough credit to Samford. They appeared to have a plan and had a couple of nice players. We need more bodies. Neb Nets 1 Quote

HUD Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 Mendelson did practice before the Samford game. Amy talked about the fact it is good to have 8 days without a game to implement some things and get some better depth. I can see no reason not to play Maggie next Sunday. whoopdeedoo, Neb Nets, MontanaHusker and 2 others 5 Quote

Forgotten the actual deal, but she has Nebraska family connections...somehow. And will say, she's seems to do a good job with her team. They were were well coached, well organized and competitive.... and did a good job with the roster she has. Edited December 12, 2022 by redsteve Quote
KarlHessEatMy.... Posted December 12, 2022 Report Posted December 12, 2022 If that little number 11 ever decides to transfer from Samford I think she would thrive in Amy's offense. She was a fast lil booger. Number 3 ever in the nation for most points scored in a high school career but she did start at 6th grade and was a starter by time she was in 8th grade. HUD 1 Quote
