Can someone explain to me when Wilcher was at line to tie the game, why both Tominaga and Webster remained in the game over Trey and maybe even Mayen.  Get some bigger better athletes in there to play D for the love of God.  Patience is wearing thin with Hoiberg not understanding the little things that should be so obvious and simple.

Trey was on a minutes restriction. And he can't trust Mayen I imagine. Only explanation

No way he was on a minutes restriction...  He played 34 minutes against Rutgers..  This was Hoiberg's call he just used that as an excuse.

Actually I don't think Fred used it as an excuse; he just said he went with the guys that he thought gave us the best chance to win.     Washut tweeted it as a minutes restriction, and the Big 10 postgame crew accepted it at face value.  Not dissimilar from Fred initially saying Verge not playing against Rutgers was a coach's decision, and then Washut tweets out about the aunt, and it gets accepted at face value.

Yeah I went with what I saw seeing from the post game stuff. Fred said "trey's still getting back up to speed" and then said "I stuck with the guys late who gave us the best shot". Two kinda contradictory quotes. Only saw the first

'Trey's still getting back up to speed' might not be about his foot/endurance. Since he's been back he has forced the issue on offense on multiple occasions and did so again last night. He's trying to do too much at times, much like Verge and I think that may be why they both remained on the bench down the stretch.

Could have subbed offense/defense in the last minute or 2.

I get what he's saying here but this isn't exactly controlling the things you can control.

I get what you are saying.  But it is hard, when you make a play, a good play, and a clueless ref makes an assumption rather than a factual call.

Roll back the clock...during a pivotal game earlier this year a ref swallows his whistle and neglects to make the call on an obvious foul, and we simply grin and bear it.

Point being, this team is beyond frustrated.   We have found numerous ways to lose games.  But when outside forces causes you to slip down the losing slide, it is difficult, if not impossible, to mask your frustration.

To me, it was more of a "that's something guys do all of the time" type of feeling when the T came out.  You see things like what Keisei did  all of the time.
