Millard South has probably the best trio in the state playing the same 4 years together. They were pretty impressive. Scored 70 of their record-breaking 72 in the Class A finale. Mya Babbitt scored 30 while teammates Cora Olsen and Khloe Lemon both had 20. All three scored at least 500 points this season, and all 3 were 1,000-point career scorers. The trio is #1, #2, and #3 in the Millard South all-time scoring record books. They were a fun group to watch their progress throughout their 4-year career, culminating in a Senior season Class A State Championship. Unprecedented to do what they've done.

She is 3rd on the state games scoring list with 200 points. Only junior to score 200. Hooper has 271 I think so barring an injury she could pass her next year. Class B stats.

A Malcom freshman athlete by the name of Halle Dolliver is an athlete to follow in the future.  Not saying she is another Britt Prince but she did have 71 total points in 3 games this weekend.  5'10" with an athletic frame and great hops.  Fast and has great BB skills.  Plays on club team coached by Andy Markowski.

Watched many of the H. S. state tourney girls games. Was impressed by the "B" final. Both Elkhorn N and Skutt were really quick defensively. Both rteams are class A competitive.

Class A Millard S, and Lincoln High had some quickness too.  .........Maybe play fast and play hard are a better description. Seems like the H.S. game is going in that direction.

I know obviously ...H.S. and college are two different games on many levels. The point is, at times, they looked like they played faster on defense, than our Husker Women.

Just an observation, maybe way off base, but reminded me of some of the defenses of some upper level B1G teams.....and others of course.

pretty quiet on the Prince news. that makes me nervous. i was in the camp that she would have made her decision by now...and i envisioned it being the huskers. well........

No inside info at all just a gut feeling I have is that she will commit to Nebraska by Sept. 1st.

I’m taking the expectation management approach - I don’t expect her to come to NU at all. That way, I won’t be disappointed if and when she doesn’t. And if she does come to Nebraska? I’ll be elated in my surprise! 😄

But in all seriousness, if she doesn’t come here, I won’t be too shocked. I wish her luck wherever she goes. Unless that “wherever” happens to be Iowa. Dear God, anywhere but Iowa. Please.

I sure hope Britt Prince will be a Husker. If she's not, that will be sad for us but hopefully she's happy with her decision. I really she decides to be 'N' after it's all said & done with H.S. She has the rare opportunity to win 4 state titles in the first 4 years at a brand-new school.

speaking of in state talent, our softball team may have gone from upper division to odds on favorite in the B1G

I saw that! Jordy Bahl is kinda the softball equivalent to Britt Prince in terms a of a home state phenom in her respective sport!

I hope Jordy Bahl returning to NU is a harbinger for Britt Prince to play in her home state.

Yes also agree.....

Could be.......Prince just might take notice of Bahl's return to UNL.  It may well add to the conversation in her mind.

The most recent recruiting article I can find, is below.  It is dated July 16th.  The young lady continues to receive new offers.

The Bruins have become the most recent high major program to enter the recruiting battle for one of the top backcourt players in the Midwest.

Coach Cori Close and assistant coach Tony Newman have identified the next class of 2024 prospect UCLA women’s basketball will try to sway to Westwood. The Bruins' staff has offered Elkhorn North High School (NE) point guard Britt Prince a scholarship, she revealed Saturday afternoon on Twitter.

UCLA joins Creighton, Nebraska, South Dakota State, Louisville, Iowa State, Omaha, Iowa, North Carolina, Maryland, Oregon, Michigan, Indiana, Kansas State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Marquette, Penn State, NC State, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Illinois, Virginia Tech, Harvard, Missouri, Mississippi State, Belmont, DePaul and Florida by becoming the 29th program to reach out to Prince with a scholarship offer.

Now I am NOT being critical of BP taking her time to decide what is best for her future. But at the same time, there is another dimension to this long delayed decision that is easily overlooked. Most of the schools who have offered her are saving a scholarship just in case she chooses them and probably most have her penciled in as their # 1 choice for PG.   And each of those schools has a second most desired prospect whom they would move up to #1 if BP doesn't choose them.  And all of those #2 back up choices have offers from several schools and probably a favorite school.  So if, for example, Iowa really really wants BP but if they can't get her, they want Suzy Second Choice and Suzy really wants Iowa but Iowa hasn't offered yet, but her second choice, Iowa State, has offered but they also have their eye on Trudy Third Choice and if Trudy accepts at ISU and BP chooses Iowa, then Suzy has missed out on her top two choices .... and on and on.  ... Point is that the plans of a lot of schools and a lot of players are on hold and a lot opportunities will go poof if this decision isn't made soon.

You're right; but then again, this occurs with nearly every player, any team and any sport.

I guess if I feel bad for anyone, it is with all of the Trudy Third and Faith Fourths out there.  They are the ones, who are often times, scrambling at the end in order to live out there dreams.

What I copied, is the article.  You could search for:  UCLA Women's Basketball Sends Offer to Class of 2024 Point Guard Britt Prince

That should take you to it.

Thanks for the search.  (Turns out the article is rather dated @ 7/17/2022)

The thing that makes me more curious are the players who may want to come along.  Ie perhaps someone like Miss Guyton is waiting to see if Miss Prince comes here so they can form a dynamic back court for multiple years together.  The longer you wait the spots for both could disappear
