Hopefully Michigan can win in impressive fashion today. It could change the narrative from, "Nebraska didn't show up when they needed to," to, "Nebraska ran into a force in Michigan." Not to mention it inflates our best win of the season.

Not just a win either.  A 20 point beatdown.

So it looks to me like these 24 teams are fighting for 13 at-large spots, pending any bubble-bursting tournament runs. I ordered the teams based on where they land on Lunardi's bracket and included their conference tourney match-ups.

1.    Missouri - Thu vs UGA/Vandy

2.    St. Mary's - Hope Zags win tourney, but if not, go SMC

3.    Oklahoma - Wed vs Ok State; Thu vs Kansas

4.    Kansas State - Thu vs TCU

5.    Florida State - Wed vs L'ville (probably want FSU)

6.    MTSU - Hope they win tourney, if not get bounced early

7.    St. Bonnie - Fri vs Richmond/Duquesne

8.    Providence - Thu vs Creighton

9.    Louisville - Wed vs FSU (probably want FSU)

10.  Alabama - Thu vs Texas A&M

11.  Baylor - Thu vs West Va

12.  Texas - Wed vs ISU; Thu vs Tex Tech

13.  USC - Thu vs Washington/Oregon State

1-5 probably have a good chance of making it no matter what. oklahoma probably best chance of missing if they lose in round 1.

we really need 6-13 to lose + marquette, notre dame, ucla, and syracuse.

I would say that we are probably fighting for the 9 spots left with the 19 teams listed.  I just know that OU will be in.  Plus, we can't have them lose to OSU in the first round on Wednesday.

Teams that are probably in above us are in yellow.  That would leave 6 spots for 16 teams.  I think we have a case vs. all of those 16 though depending on what you look at/favor.

I get tired trying to wrap my mind around all the games you guys break down.  Y'all deserve a stiff drink.  Thanks for all the work you've put in!  If you're ever in Hampton, that stiff drink is on the house.

it's crazy to think michigan might get a 2 seed in the ncaa tourney, and we might not make it at all despite finishing ahead of them in the B1G.

And that, in the end, our bid required sweeping a No. 2 seed (and not scheduling Delaware State).

I don't see them getting a 2 seed...and to be fair, they did play a tougher Big 10 schedule than we did.  That's not our fault...but we would have been much better off having their schedule IMO.

That should be a 1 bid league.  West Kentucky or Mid Tenn

MTSU was in the 10-11 seed range before the loss. Might have been in (still might be) if they lose in the championship game.

If the Zags win, I'll be rooting for BYU. SMC has missed the tourney in the past when everyone expected them to get in, so I'm hopeful they could be left out if they lose tonight. Then we'd obviously need the Zags to take care of BYU.

Pretty much where I am at.  We need to gamble on such things to try to remove potential teams.
