huskerbaseball13 Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 6'9 220 lbs Averaged roughly 9 pts 5 reb and 1 asst per game. Where did you get those numbers? I'm showing he was 14.7 PTS 7.5 boards a game. 53-140 from three point land...not big for a big man. I'm not sure he's the type of big man we really need but he looks skilled on the offensive end. hhcmatt Posted April 8, 2016 Author Report Posted April 8, 2016 Offers from Utah State, Missouri State and Robert Morris... True though being offered by "good teams" isn't necessarily a guarantee of Div 1 production Quote
hhcmatt Posted April 8, 2016 Author Report Posted April 8, 2016 6'9 220 lbs Averaged roughly 9 pts 5 reb and 1 asst per game. Freshman year numbers Here are this year's stats Quote
jason2486 Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 37% from 3 would be a great bonus! He sounds like Oregon's backup plan right now. Hopefully he commits to us on his visit. Norm Peterson 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 He shoots 3s at a 38% clip. He can get shots off inside as well. Seems to have some post moves, which is nice. Better post moves than anyone else we have on scholarship right now. Wish he was about 2 inches taller. And the thing with juco film is that it's sometimes like AAU film. The guys don't seem like they're running full speed so it's difficult to tell exactly how athletic he really is. Or isn't. But his film doesn't look all that bad, actually. I'd say a Leslee Smith type player. I'm good with that. Silverbacked1 and MitchMcGaryMunchies 2 Quote
basketballjones Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Player that fits Tim Miles' MO pretty well... 6'6"-6'8" guys who are versatile, skilled, fundamental. Doesn't look to have much bounce, but seems smooth and relatively long. Silverbacked1 and Norm Peterson 2 Quote
hhcmatt Posted April 8, 2016 Author Report Posted April 8, 2016 $$$ Just an FYI: This topic and my retweet of Brad Winton's tweet happened before the stuff on Rivals showed up. I wonder how much better they're at googling over there? colhusker 1 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 This what some wrote on Jan.6. Smooth offensive player in a big body. Currently averaging: 17.6 ppg, 52.5 fg%, 47.5 3pt%, 66% ft, 8.7 rbs. Quote

colhusker Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Having been to West Plains, I can see why they only have a 2 year school there. Quote

Huskerpapa Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Sort of looks like a Walter P type with the addition of some inside ability. Quote
MitchMcGaryMunchies Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Decent size and athleticism, and looks fairly polished offensively. It seems like he has some nice back to the basket moves…that little turnaround hook looked pretty lethal. His jumpshot looks a little iffy mechanically, but with the height on some of those 3 balls, he could probably shoot those over the State Capitol. So there's that... I wish he was 6' 10" and had more highlights within 10' of the rim, but what can you do? We need some size coming in and we need it now. Quote
basketballjones Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Sort of looks like a Walter P type with the addition of some inside ability. No. I don't see that anyways. Walt was a freak athlete with a ton of length, who could hit an outside shot. But had very little midrange game or back to the basket ability. I see more of Coach Miles' typical Colorado State swing men in this guy. AuroranHusker 1 Quote
