Bugeaters1 Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 With this storm lasting into the night and travel difficult how will this effect Maryland's travel. I know last year the women had a road game out in Washington where they got to the gym about two hours before game time suited up and played. Do you see the same scenario here? Quote
Huskerpapa Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 Not unless we get a second round of storms. Temps in Lincoln are pretty moderate, so things are looking pretty positive right now. Of course, they may fly into Omaha which may be more affected by the storm than Lincoln. Quote

Okay I was just wondering as it is still snowing out here in the tri cities. so I thought it might be effecting the Lincoln area as well. Quote

Bugeaters1 Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 Do most teams fly direct into Lincoln? Quote
Huskerpapa Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Do most teams fly direct into Lincoln? Most fly into Lincoln. I imagine a few fly into Omaha, but I have to believe all the Big Ten teams fly into Lincoln these days. Quote

I imagine a few fly into Omaha, but I have to believe all the Big Ten teams fly into Lincoln these days. I would imagine that if you are in a power conference, you have a travel budget. If you have a travel budget, then you probably fly into Lincoln. Don't be like non-travel-budget Rob Lowe. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 http://travel.flightexplorer.com/trackFlight.aspx Flight ID From To Departure Time Arrival Time Aircraft Type Status SWQ4032 BWI LNK 2/2/2016 5:16PM EST 2/2/2016 7:13PM CST B734 Arrived 1 Based on this, I suggest Maryland has arrived in Lincoln. I also suggest that the landing was less than fun. Quote
HuskerFever Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 This will be the second home game in a row that the Nebraska student section will wear the opposing team's colors. When are we going to learn??? hhcmatt 1 Quote

If all goes well, it could be a building week for the Terps in their journey to the top, as No. 2 North Carolina fell Monday night to No. 21 Louisville. Quote

hhcmatt Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 "Cupcake of the week" - wow, really?! Pretty much dialed in the entire article. If Maryland overlooking us is part of our winning formula tonight, this is a good sign. The only team in conference Maryland has killed on the road was a Northwestern squad with a gaudy 13-2 record Quote
Norm Peterson Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 I like being sandwiched in between their big win at Ohio State and their battle against a ranked Purdue squad. If there's an opportunity to get overlooked, that's it. At least they aren't coming off a loss. Quote
brfrad Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 The writer does realize that we did go into East Lansing and beat a MSU team that Maryland lost to in the next game? This Nebraska team is a totally different team than the one that loss to Samford. I think we are just as good as Ohio State, who Maryland had all sorts of problems with on Sunday. Quote

49r Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 The prevailing thought among the Terps faithful is that the only offensive threat on our team is Shavon, who they look at as being a "chucker". All they need to do is put Layman on him and lock him down and we're cooked. I can't say they're absolutely wrong, but we have had guys emerge as offensive threats in games in the past. It could happen again. Quote
49r Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Meanwhile, they've got Trimble, Carter and Stone forming a legitimate triple threat with Layman, Suliamon and Dodd being pretty stout in their own right. I mean, I guess I can't disagree with them. We've got a serious uphill battle brewing for us tonight. Quote
atskooc Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 I think Watson gets quite an education tonight. Quote
