Report reply BenJammin63 33 Posted February 21, 2014 Any report on how the Husker Power chant went this time?it was pretty loud imo. I didn't hear any of penn state players namesAgree could barely hear the names. Also I'm pretty sure they played one of the songs in this thread before the game They played that afrojack remix song before the game, but that is probably one of the worst possible times to play it. IMO thats the song we want right after a timeout, skip a little of the intro and boom, place will be rocking. But the music at the PBA to be honest is kind of a buzz kill. Who ever the husker dj thingy or whatever he is called, does not do a very good job at playing songs at the correct times. But the song is sick if its played at the right time. Report reply Silverbacked1 5,596 Posted February 21, 2014 I think the drum line was in the hall. They had been in other places in the Vault tonight before the game. that was a huge oops moment. Quote Share this comment

Yeah, drum line fail tonight. That shouldn't happen. Albeit it was pretty cool coming in to the arena with the drummers drumming. Just ... stop for the anthem, OK? And the Husker Power chant during opponent intros is priceless. They didn't know what hit them. And LOUD. That was ear splitting loud. Crowd obviously loved it. Great idea, keep that one going. Report reply Red Rum 620 Posted February 21, 2014 I had my reservations about the Husker Power chant working. I'm glad I was wrong. That was really cool. Quote Share this comment
Report reply Silverbacked1 5,596 Posted February 21, 2014 This is just a thought that popped in my head. If we keep doing this and the crowd really gets into it... Think of the Creighton game next year. Quote Share this comment

Report reply Concrete 83 Posted February 21, 2014 Hope this becomes a staple and doesn't fade away if/when we lose a game we shouldn't. I think it caught all of the players and coaches (from both sides) way off guard and set a little bit of a tone. This is the only thing we've ever done that, if you posted it on youtube, other fan bases would watch it and say, "We need to do something like that." hhcmatt, Concrete and Silverbacked1 3 Quote Share this comment

Hopefully we can get everyone doing it and blow the roof off the building. Quote Share this comment

Report reply 49r 10,543 Posted February 21, 2014 Somewhere it was mentioned that some students were trying to get the folks in the 200-level involved with throwing confetti, and I've been looking for it this afternoon but it eludes me. Apparently the PBA staff put the kibosh on this pretty quick and I am wondering why? I know we have some folks on the Arena management staff monitoring this board and was wondering if we could possibly get a little clarification on this matter. I, for one, think it's a great idea and have been mulling around the notion of talking here about getting the non-student sections involved with the confetti, too. It's such a striking visual.
