Another Sunday and another season going downhill fast.

    Nothing. Just nothing.

Illinois is at least turnover prone and isn't great shooting, but they have final 4 ceiling, so they will run us more than likely.

Did find out interesting we essentially cut the rotation to 7 with ulis in clean up. Have not liked meah this year, so I am fine with his benching. If the season continues how it is, id bump Gavin up just so see if you can get something out of him to close the season.

No Meah today.  Interesting.  We probably need him against Illinois.  Was not impressed with Morgan starting.

Looking like maybe we swung too far the other way after the a&m game.  Looking like we didn't really get players that can run anything we want to do.

Our defense gives up way too many threes in today's game of basketball.

Our offense is way too timid especially our big guys at the rim.  Go up and try to score!

Worster needs back in the starting lineup.

That last 1st half run by Wisconsin was a killer.

The real disappointing thing about putting together this roster that demanded a different style of play is that we're mostly running the same stuff we did last year.

Surround Mast and Berke with guys who can shoot

It saddens me to say it, but at this point, we know who Fred is, and it hasn’t been near good enough. He’s 32-76 in league play with one winning record in 5 full seasons. By comparison, Miles was 52-76 in league. Doc was 34-64. If Fred’s retained after this year, it will be because of the name, not the results.

I’m not sure where or what “Rock Bottom” looks like these Days but getting Posterized in a Dunk by some Dopey White Wisconsin Farm Boy puts you in the Conversation.

What a pathetic effort. Didnt seem like we wanted to be there. Just so limited offensively, we desperately need more shooting.

This is the mistake we make. We have shooters...we gotta recruit makers.

So disheartening. I thought our first 9 conference games would be a tough stretch. But as long as we kept our head above water through the Wisconsin game we'd be ok because the last 11 look pretty favorable to go on a nice run, as we did the last two seasons. Unfortunately, we seem to be a completely broken team and nothing is going well on either end of the court. We have poor leadership on the floor and our coaches haven't figured out how to push the right buttons. If we could somehow figure it out, there are a whole lot of winnable games left on the schedule (6 homes games and the 5 road games are collectively "easier" than the first 5 conference road games). But it's hard to have any faith right now.

    The optimism?

With NIL we can scrap it all and try again next year!

So has any reporter ever asked back, "If you wanted to play for Nebraska so bad why didn't you tell them you would love to for them at discounted NIL rate?"

Wouldn't Nebraska have to recruit him first?

Tonje was signed with New Mexico until Chucky left and Wisconsin out bid them.

At any point we could have signed Tonje and I don't think it would have been more money than we're paying most anyone on the roster.

Most times at least 2 of the 5 players we have on the court aren't 3pt threats.

He couldn't initiate contact? Not sure of timing but who had we signed from portal? Would think if he wanted to play at NU he could let them someone know?

I just get tired of the revenge narrative. He's not trying hard versus other teams? Is he giving 110% versus everyone but when he plays NU he bumps it up to 120%? And I'm not pointing Tonje but all guys that say that.

To be fair-- it always "means a little extra" playing against a former team or school you grew up around. That narrative has been around a long time and isn't necessarily just for players from Nebraska who we recruited.

In terms of recruitment, it's hard to say who may have reached out to who. We don't know all of those conversations. What we do know is what players release and I don't remember our name being brought up as teams who reached out to him, but maybe we did.
