However if we do revive a rock bottom thread for something like this, it basically makes us a blue blood right?

We held Maryland under 70 and the big freshman Queen didn’t hurt us.  Maybe I see it differently because the Terps hit some contested threes.  Ball handling and less than stellar shooting cost us.  I hate to say it but we may not make the post season B1G Tournament.  Wins look few and far between.

It’s crazy how thin the line will probably be this year between making the conference tournament and dancing. Seriously— I could neither would shock me at this point. The B1G is that good this year. 

The Huskers showed great fight. 

Maryland is a good team who should comfortably make the NCAA tourney. 

The margin for error for this Hukser team is razor thin. 

We simply don't have enough shooters and dudes who can put the ball in the bucket. 

Brice is excellent, but we need a secondary scorer who can average at least 13-15 ppg, and we don't have that  guy on the roster.

I think the area of concern right now is that we're 0-4 in one-score games this year (if you count OT as one-score).

Ideally, you'd want to see some give-and-take on those where they go 50/50. This could hurt us as we approach March. Time will tell.

Re-watched some of the game. Bryce finished with a quiet 14 points but for the most part, Maryland shut him down. That really hurts us when we don’t have a ton of scoring to compliment him.

He scored 4 quick points before the U16 of the first half. He also scored 6 points in the final 6 minutes of the game. He only scored 4 points in the middle 20-25ish minutes of the game.

Thinking about that, it’s almost crazy that we were in it at the very end. Bryce is the glue of the offense and he’s been kept in check for what feels like 2-3 games straight now.

It started at the UCLA game, but teams are starting to load up heavy on him. He'll still find a way to get his, but the gameplan seems to keep it tough on him and force someone else to shoot more, preferably Gary. Id like to see Berke split some looks with him, but he's still getting comfortable offensively.

I’ll is with ten assists was not on my bingo card. Who was the last guy with double digit assists? Cam ‘the arrow’ Mack???!!!

Verge had a handful of 10+ assist games. Can't remember if Banton had any. 

Gary needs to dunk the ball because he sure as hell can't make layups..  so frustrating.  Sam and Morgan need more minutes.  Morgan plays great but definitely has some lapses out there and makes some bad decisions.  Berke is a pretty good defender and rebounder so like him and Morgan rotating at the 5.

I was on a tangent earlier today and it's just funny because a year ago in Jan. 2024, we lost to Rutgers and attributed it to Gary being injured.
