This recruitment is confusing. What is important to him and what is the deciding factors, no one seems to know. A man his size would seemingly want to play man D, especially if going to NBA is the goal and if your main goal is PT, you would go to a roster where you would play right away. Weird.

The more I read the more I feel it may be about relationships.  I think he may not like how he was being treated at Providence.

Another strange thing is that his decision to transfer apparently came as a complete surprise to the Providence coaches!

I'm not sure too many prospects would rate Miles with Izzo and ahead of Self and Boheim

As far as "Coolness" is concerned you are wrong

Maybe, but cool don't get you in the league.

Michigan State site says we aren't in the running either(3 days ago)

http://spartanavenue.com/2015/06/05/paschal-chukwu-no-longer-interested-in-michigan-state/

What I took from that fansided article is the Univ. of Michigan appears not to be in the running as Chukwu will visit MSU, not UM.

This is what I was referring to

"According to a report from Matt Scottof 247Sports‘ Kansas Jayhawks site, Chukwu has narrowed his interest down to a few schools. The schools that he is paying the most attention to before his announcement are Kansas, VirginiaMichigan and Syracuse— again, this is according to Scott’s report."

That quote is from Matt Scott, not Paschal Chukwu. It doesn't mean that Paschal told Scott everything. Scott narrowed the list to the "schools that he is paying the most attention to before his announcement"

Oh, I think I understand now. Chukwu didn't tell him everything and intentionally left out the part that he is a silent commit to NU. And just didn't even mention Nebraska at all to throw everyone off.

In all seriousness, if we don't land Chukwu are we done trying to fill this last 2015 spot? I mean, there's nobody else in the mix that we know about right now, is there?

We're talking about a site that is reporting based on this:

Providence big man transfer Paschal Chukwu wrapped up his visit to Kansas today after visiting Nebraska earlier this week. Chukwu will now check out a few more schools before he decided where he will transfer to this fall.

"Went really well," Chukwu said via text about his visit to Kansas.

Chukwu made the visit to Kansas even though the Jayhawks don't have a scholarship to offer him after Ole Miss transfer Dwight Coleby claimed the last one available when he committed to Kansas last Sunday.

Chukwu also told TheShiver.com he plans on visiting Virginia, Michigan State and Syracuse before making his final decision.

I'm not quite interpreting that the same way Spartan Avenue is. I'd assume we're still very much in this. He didn't even mention Iona.

Well, that was awkward... ;)

Nah, I don't buy any 'silent commit' hoopla. The writer of the story left a lot of what was written up to one's interpretation, though.

No recruit is less communicative than Paschal Chukwu. Neither Nebraska nor Kansas sources, for example, could get a pre- or post-visit response from him, other than something like a "Very well" text on how his Kansas visit went. Unless a source quotes directly from the recruit or his guardian, any report on Chukwu's thinking is speculation.

Exactly. Which is why I debunked the 'article' that someone else posted.

Just for the record, I posted that sarcastically.  I feel very strong about our chances and have ever since he visited
