That's a big IF...a win tonight and I would say no.  We currently are at #123 in the RPI.  We have a long way to go in that regard.  The losses to Creighton and Incarnate Word at home are killers.  I think we need to win 11 regular season games again this year.  That will be tough to do with how our schedule sets up.

I am not sure if it even makes sense -- given our poor non-conference stretch -- to even discuss the post season until the first half of conference play is done. The back half of conference play is likely to be even tougher for us.

I'd expect much like last year we need to go 11-7 while also beating someone good on the road.

If we're lucky our slightly tougher conference schedule will cancel out our unimpressive non-conference losses.

If we win this game and go 9-9 in the conference we haven't done enough to make the tourney.

It doesn't make any difference how you want to look at it.  It doesn't matter if we are on the bubble right now.  There really isn't a bubble right now.  We only have about a 1 in 12 chance of winning, but we have a very good chance of making the tourney if we win this game IMO.  Not sure if that puts us on the bubble now or not, nor do I really care.

We would need win @Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan St to be in the bubble.... Regardless the only way we are making the tourney is 11-7 conference record that's the bench mark. If we don't make that bench mark then winning the BIG tourney is the only other way.

We're #123 on the current NCAA official rpi.  Down two spots from #121 after the win against Illinois, which makes no sense.  But there we are.  We'd have to jump a very long way in order to remotely be considered on the bubble.  A win tonight helps but becomes irrelevant if we don't win out at home, or awful close to it.

NIT is not really a bad thing tho honestly. At least we could get a Top 3 seed in the NIT and maybe get a couple home games out of it. Right?

Not gunna settle for that just yet.  Lot of season left... for everyone.  If Illinois is still in the first 4 out on bracketology, we are certainly still in the hunt.

We are in the hunt.  A good majority of teams still are...we have 14 Big Ten games left.  But, Illinois is 81 spots higher than us in the RPI right now.
