I happen to live fairly close to the arena and typically my entire drive is covered by Kent and Matt so I really haven't listened.  Is anyone here tuning in and what is your impression so far?

I like it a lot as they talked basketball the whole time. Welch is normally a huge koolaid drinker, but he knows what he's talking about and bock is his counterpart that chimes in with great information. I'm glad there is finally a show longer than just Matt and Kent's 10-15 mins.

Well I guess it's better than listening to ..... nothing

Sometimes, i've tried to listen to his shows but they are bad.  I lost a lot of respect for him as well over his twitter spat with Damon Benning.

IDK I admittedly listen to the guy every day on the way home.  How can you not love Bake Tokeoven?  Overall I really enjoy the show.

However, it did take me a few weeks to get used to Welch, but I've grown to really like the dude.  I really do think 93.7 has some great talent for just a local station.  It's odd, but it seems like all of the co hosts are nebrasketball fanatics and the hosts are focused on football.

If they start doing post game shows regularly I'll listen.  Give 'em a chance.

I did not know 93.7 was doing a NU BB post game show or I would have tuned in to listen.  Nothing worse than commercial after commercial after commercial after commercial on the 1400 post game show.  And then, when Kent and Matt do speak for their 30 second clip, they almost seem to be at a loss for words or what to speak about, as if nothing comes to mind to talk about the game they both just watched.

I have listened to some of Welch's afternoon show and I can understand why there may be differing views of his style or his show.  But I don't know how anyone could complain about him doing a post-game show for Nebraska basketball.  I have been following NU b-ball for 35 years and I cannot remember every having an alternative post game radio show available--Welch is the first to step up to the plate and take on that task.  For that, he should be commended and everyone on this board should be thanking him and tuning in because if he doesn't get some support and listeners, that post-game show will be cancelled and we will be back to having no alternative once again.

That show is garbage.  Mike Welch is a high school DJ that has no idea what he is talking about.  All he does is read the station call letters and read tweets.  Bad radio.

See my post above.  We aren't talking about his afternoon show.  We are talking about his Nebraska basketball post-game show.  As far as I know, Welch is the first radio host to step up to the plate and start a Nebraska basketball post-game show ever and he definitely is the only one doing it now.  Even if you don't like it (and feel free not to listen), having something is better than nothing and for most of us having a post-game show is greatly appreciated because it has simply never been available before now.  Unless he goes completely off the rails I think Welch should be supported in his efforts to start, and continue, a Nebraska basketball post-game show.

I'm in a similar boat as dimes, I don't live very far away from the arena so I can put up with 30 seconds of Kent and Matt (even though Matt's voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me) and then 2 minutes of Corn Board commercials. I might give the Ticket show a chance if I can remember to tune in.

The post-game I have heard is on 1400 right after the post-game interview that Kent and Matt has with Coach Miles.  Although, it is not terrific, it wasn't bad.  It is new, so it has to grow on me for awhile.

I've got my exit strategy, walk from PBA, and drive home ironed out perfectly so that they are usually signing off from Coach Miles' segment as I'm pulling into my garage.  I'm going to have to figure out how to mix a little Ticket into my routine.

I had no idea there is post-game show after the Miles interview on 1400.  Has that been available all season?  Who are the hosts?  Interesting.

1400 does a game recap after the end of Kent, Matt, and TM. Is that the post game you're talking about?

This works great for you Lincolnites...you are covered all the way home. Those of us from Omaha (me) and further out (lots of you) have appreciated a full hour pregame show...but we get virtually nothing postgame...by the time you get to the car, usually the stats have been read...and heaven forbid they repeat them for the 15,000 potential new listeners they could be picking up...but it seems they are in a hurry to get somewhere. If TM came and talked to them immediately after the game, I think they would run off earlier. They seem to be in a hurry to subject me to some goofy political late night/Sunday afternoon shows. I am grateful there is an alternative I did not know about, as I will be more interested in Nebrasketball talk than my digital music collection after a game. Husker radio should wake up and extend their show...but this is the same rant I went on last year. Thanks 93.7...I think.
