Swan88 Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 Very cool!! But wait . . . you might watch out on this. Perhaps you've posted this topic on the wrong board: there is no mention of the Huskers, and another team's name is in both posts. Hate to be persnickety (def.: overparticular; fussy) or fastidious (def.: excessive care), but based on one or more other transferred threads, "someone needs to explain why we have a college basketball forum if threads like this don't go there." Just saying. And don't be rollin' through any stop signs or jaywalkin' when no one else is around--wouldn't be prudent. Quote
atskooc Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 I agree with Swan: this very well could go in the college basketball forum. I also think Swan needs to get over himself. jayschool and Swan88 2 Quote
49r Posted November 17, 2014 Author Report Posted November 17, 2014 Fair enough swan, and dimes can feel free to move it to the college hoops folder if it's deemed necessary. Honestly, I was planning to start this thread there, but I figured if I did, there'd be a duplicate here shortly anyway because most people skip over the college hoops folder. In related news, KC gets the 2017 regional final, too. Which is awesome. Bugeaters1 and AuroranHusker 2 Quote

Norm Peterson Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 With the place in Omaha hosting an NCAA regional, I wonder what would have to happen for the Huskers to play an NCAA game there? Reach the Suh-weet 16, obviously, but what beyond that? (OK, now it's got Huskers in it, so we keep it on this board. You're welcome.) Quote

CanadianHusker Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 Lots of 1st/2nd round sites within easy driving distance for next year: Des Moines, St. Louis, Denver, and OKC would be a great 1st and 2nd round location for Nebrasketball next season. Totally agree 49r, some good options for very drivable distances for a lot of Husker fans. AuroranHusker 1 Quote

busticket Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 That's pretty amazing. I never figured we'd sniff hosting a sweet 16. Things keep getting better and better for basketball in this state. Helps make up for that football stuff...... AuroranHusker 1 Quote

I know if it was icedragon, you wouldn't have bothered. It's only because you know I try not to abuse the English language that you sometimes encourage me with negative reinforcement. It's like how Doc always yelled at Toney McCray but never even bothered yelling at Myles Holley. I take it as a compliment that you feel I'm worth the effort of correcting me. atskooc 1 Quote
Nighthawk Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Sounds great! Sadly there are still people out there that are totally clueless and think that we should get this in Lincoln Sometime down the road. Not going to happen for a long long long time...if ever. Quote
