What is a class A Hotel ?

Sioux Falls is bidding for to host The NCAA DI Men's basketball tournament. If they (Sioux Falls) can do this. Why didn't Lincoln build these hotels when they where building hotels in the Haymarket.

Is the Cornhusker Hotel considered a class A Hotel ? And the Holiday inn has a restaurant other than that I have no Idea.

Fargo (the tv series) will take place in Sioux Falls next year so maybe the upper midwest Mafia is behind this.

Lincoln hosted regionals for the Women's tournament last year.  Are the requirements to host the men different?

I think they have hourly rates.  And each room has a shot clock.

 

Lincoln has just announced that they are also instituting hourly rates and shot clocks in the public parks as well.

It looks like they lowered the requirement for hosting down to a 10,000 seat arena. No doubt this was done to increase the number of bids and make cities/sponsors pay more to host.
