hhcmatt Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 previous relationship with Teddy Owens I assume this was from the Oklahoma offer last year. BTW, was Owens involved in flipping Hammond here? Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Would Jordan Cornish be a get ? This was tweeted by Huskerism. Or is it just speculation Quote

Bugeaters1 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 I did kinda mess it up. With him being a 6'6" guard would he help the Huskers ? And would he be a Pettaway type guy. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Cornish hens are very tasty... and, the Air Jordan shoe remains a personal favorite. Doesn't have anything to do with Mr. Jordan Cornish, but feelin' good vibes nonetheless. Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 What was tweeted by Huskerism? I don't see anything. Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 What was tweeted by Huskerism? I don't see anything. When I first read the tweet I thought it was from Tarin Smith, But after looking at it again he had only re tweeted it. So when I first seen it I thought that since TS had tweeted it It meant that Cornish was N. But that's not the case as of now. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Quote

He's a large combo guard. He can play the 2 and swing down to the 3 in certain personnel groupings. He could eventually get to a Petteway type player but not in the same zip code yet skills wise shooting or driving ability. Quote

Section_316 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 I think some of the SMU is the huge lean May be overblown. It was reported by a local sportswriter where he is from that SMU is the front runner and that may be true. It also may be a lot of heresay. I hope the kid takes all 3 or 4 visits and makes the best choice for him, which would be Nebraska of course!! Quote
FredsSlacks Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 I see a lot of Lance Stephenson in this kid. Quote

Silverbacked1 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 Like our chances, if nobody else "bigger" jumps in. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 Like our chances, if nobody else "bigger" jumps in. Well, thinking big picture: Cornish will displace Biggs, who could be bigger than that?!? I have a good, good feeling about Jordan wearing RED this fall. Hope this B1G hoops dream will come to pass. The Coach Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 I wonder why Cuonzo isn't recruiting him to Cal? New Tennessee coach Donnie Tyndall told Cornish he was still wanted, but Cornish favors coach Cuonzo Martin, who left for California. “I signed to play for coach Martin,'' Cornish said. “I'm sorry how all this turned out. Vols Nation will always be in my heart.'' If Cuonzo had room to take a major project like Kingsley Okoroh to Cal, you'd think he'd find a spot for Cornish. Quote

The only one thats out there publicly is any other SEC teams but it may also be Cal as well. Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Sadly UCLA's starting SG Jordan Adams is announcing he will go pro. It doesn't help us in the battle. Quote

I still think Cornish would probably start for us from day 1. We bring back every single starter from the 4th best team in the B1G except for our Shooting Guard. Quote

Im confused by this. So...in that scenario are you expecting Petteway to start at PG, or do you think he would take Petteway's starting spot (in a season that Petteway will likely be a preseason All-BigTen pick)? Quote
Cookie Miller Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Uh, in that scenario he would replace the Gallegos/Rivers starting spot. 1-PG, 2-Cornish, 3-Petteway, 4-Shields, 5-Pitch. Quote
Section_316 Posted April 27, 2014 Report Posted April 27, 2014 Guessing he means he will start and Tai or Rivers will go to the bench. I agree if so Quote

Just because we have the better returning class of the two schools does it mean he would choose us. Thing is no matter what UCLA will always recruit very highly and can never beat their traditions. Plus playing in LA with amazing coeds doesn't hurt. Quote
