TheKamdyMan Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 He apparently is still peeking at us. EuropeanProspects RT @PremierBall: '14 7'1 C Kingsley Okoroh/ Westwind Prep. College List; Gonzaga, Portland, Nebraska, Utah, Tennesse, Purdue & Wichita St. … None of the schools have officially pulled the trigger on an offer. I think the list changes when schools start offering. Quote
The Coach Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 Looks pretty slow and soft to me (#12 in white) Quote
FredsSlacks Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 not seeing a lot of good things other than being 7'1, decent hands, and a solid frame. I'm not so sure we should go after another project. We were extremely close to landing one of the top big men in the country this year. I'd rather see us pick up a couple more leslee smiths. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 after watching that I understand why teams are interested but no one has offered. The things you cant teach are there, but the rest is pretty far off right now. Quote
bobcat402 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 where on the project scale do you think he is Kamdy? is he closer to Michael Ojo, or are we looking at a lot a serj replica. Ojo didnt pick up ball til he was 16 or 17 had a small role as a true freshman but his providing solid mintues this year for Florida State. Quote
throwback Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Yeah, based on that video he'd have a ways to go before he could play at the Big Ten level. Likely would want to have him redshirt his first year and receive some significant "big man" coaching. I'd be curious how long he has played basketball. Not sure you'd want him and Vooch on the roster at the same time, if you know what I mean. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 watching that video and watching Serj in warm-ups you see a lot of similarities in their body movement. There just doesnt seem like theres much fluidity to either which really limits you as a player in todays game. Quote
bobcat402 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 apprently he isnt as much of a project as i thought, and were back on with this kid..http://sports.omaha.com/2014/02/12/arizona-7-footer-shooting-guard-on-nu-list/#.UvxhN_tuWME Quote
Section_316 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I wonder if miles wants to sign 3?? We are in on a ton of guys right now bobcat402 1 Quote
Swan88 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Sounds like we are in pretty good company on Lyrik Shreiner: Shreiner, 6-4 and 180 pounds, visited Louisville on Jan. 25. His other offers are from Oregon, UTEP (visit Feb. 27) and Washington, with Nebraska and Pittsburgh pursuing and Kansas, Connecticut and Kentucky watching. Quote
Section_316 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 ESPN recruiting has him with a Louisville offer Quote
bobcat402 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 i wouldnt mind two 7 footers, you hope one works out, i spose, so with biggs leaving we have 2 or 3 more open to fill? Quote

Gallegos' spot (Hammond) 2. Biggs' spot 3. Open spot Hammond coming in and then there are two to fill prior to any departures (if any). Quote

It is decision time for Vooch. Either use his redshirt year and transfer to a place where he can play with two years of eligibility left or finish at Nebraska and, perhaps, never play. Quote

The Coach Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 He still looks terrible on film to me. I was very unimpressed with Atewe's film last year but at least he could run the floor. Okoroh looks way too slow to play for Tim Miles. Quote
bobcat402 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 well right now, its this guy or Link...i kind of like this guy better, plus would get him, and his teammate..idk we just need a defensive center, who board, and protect the rim, and give us 4-6 pts per game id be happy with that Quote
lanigan123 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I think they will want another for 15. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I think they will want another for 15. Which is why you can expect Serj to be moved on and a grad transfer come in for a one and done to open a spot for 2015 but still get use in 2014. Quote
lanigan123 Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 Kamdy, it appears Stanford may have a senior pg. Quote
Ron Mexico Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 "Okoroh, 7-1 and listed anywhere from 225 to 245 pounds, has drawn the most interest from Nebraska, Gonzaga, Utah, Tennessee, Portland, Oakland, UTEP, Purdue and Wichita State. In the European under-18 championships in 2013, Okoroh averaged 9.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in nine games." http://sports.omaha.com/2014/02/12/arizona-7-footer-shooting-guard-on-nu-list/#.UzxkSz9dU7E Quote
Red Rum Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Ok, until I clicked the link I read the subject to be a 7 foot shooting guard. I had to check my calendar to make sure it's April 2nd. Carry on. Quote
Huskerbb73 Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 It looks like that article is from back in February. Quote
