I did finally see a Dunk City dunk   - although it sounds like they've had a few earlier in the game today too.

 

Pretty amazing watching FGCU in this game how much different NU made them look Friday. For a young Nebraska team to play with the kind of discipline required to keep FGCU from cranking up its running game is extremely impressive - especially with all of the emotion and anticipation surround the PBA debut Friday. Would've been very easy for NU to get out of control & play into FGCU's hands.

We're definitely going to be underdogs in that game.

UMass 23-16 now < 8 timeout, looking very athletic vs an LSU team with good size - they'll be a handful, but we already knew that

Yeah those bigs for UMASS are long and lean with leaping ability.  NU will have to slow them down much like they did FGCU to keep them out of transition.  If you can slow them down you have a better chance to win.

I did take the day off of work, but my "halftime only" naps turned into, missing the 2nd half of the Hawaii game missing the whole FGCU game, missing the La Salle Game.

 

As long as I make it til 7, for the big game...... Nebraska vs. Western Illinois.

UMass 36-29 < 4 min timeout - LSU made a little run at them, got it to 3 I think, but UMass pushed it right back out.

 

They do seem to be feeding off the emotion of the home crowd quite a bit, so it may help a little to get them into a dead/neutral site gym.

Like some of you said, UMASS is really, really long, wowza.

UMass hot in the first few minutes of 2nd half, 58-47 - LSU trying a zone to protect against fouls, but UMass is scoring easily against it

LSU has somehow clawed right back in it, LSU has the ball down 77-76 at < 8 timeout. 

 

Kind of seems like when LSU can make it a more structured game, they are frustrating UMass - UMass wants to play really fast and make it a frenetic game, use its athleticism
