I upgraded my 4 tickets from last row of Section 317 to lower bowl......I am so excited for the season to start!

I called over and over today to see if I could upgrade from row 25 in section 119....but by the time I could get through  (with work interfering, as well)...the answer was no.

Still we are stoked to get this train a rollin' down the tracks....gathering speed!

I literally called at least 10 times before I got through to the ticket office.

We got in the lower bowl today from the nose bleeds.  Thanks for posting this.

I called the ticket office over the lunch hour to see about an upgrade, but I decided the stuff they had in the 100 level wasn't really any better than my 200 level seats that I already have so I'm staying.

Couple points to note.

1). The lady on the phone let me know that my tickets have already been printed, so if I wanted to change it would have been a $7 fee.

2). She said that they were "very close to a sellout" so if anyone were considering calling to order tickets, they should do it ASAP.

I thought it was already a sellout?????

from what I heard through the grapevine was they took some single game tickets allotted for other teams/boosters/etc were taken back for season tickets.

They should have given those to the students.  From what I've heard they had way more student ticket demand than they planned for.  The visitors section is right smack dab in the middle of the student section.

No, until we actually show up and fill at least the court side seats every game do NOT give the students more tickets. We have more than enough seats to fill right now.

Jadler, is there much talk among the students about the scrimmage on Friday.  Would be awesome to get a good student turnout for that, and if the guys do have a dunk contest and put on a good display, might encourage some of then to show up for the games

A bye week tends to make the colleges in 'merica turn into ghost towns.

You know have to go home to get mom to do this last 5 weeks of laundry, and see the main squeeze to tell them they are still the one, even though you have hooked up more times than a drunk sailor on leave.

Just my thoughts, could be wrong.;)

I think the excitement over the new arena is going to get fans -- students and old farts alike -- out to the games.  For awhile.  Success on the floor will help sustain it a bit.  But the fans have to get themselves energized and, after awhile, it's really up to the fans to decide that they're going to support the team.  I hope that happens.  But, at the outset, being able to drive around in a shiny new Ferrari of an arena will be enough attraction for most people.

In case you somehow missed it before, now is your chance to miss it again.

There were also some that didn't get their invoices paid on time that were then released back to the public.

There's quite a bit of talk about it. However, like Silver pointed out, a great deal of students go home on bye weekends. (Especially since we've had 4 straight home games since school started.) I'd like to see 100% of the sideline seats filled but in reality I'm hoping for 50-75%.

We're also going to do a test run of the confetti. In the Bob the confetti would drift a bit and we're afraid it's going to drift onto the court.

We've also been working with the N Zone in the Haymarket in the effort to create a pre-game "tailgate" atmosphere before the games for the Red Zoners. The scrimmage and the exhibition are essentially our dry runs.

Great idea, jadler, about the tailgate kind of thing at the N Zone.   Get those college students a little, ahem, "less inhibited" before they go cheer on the Huskers.  That'll get 'em a little noisier.  Just remind everyone not to pee in the sinks at the new arena.   :D

I like that the students are looking at this as a sort of practice as well.  +1.
