There wasn't much to it.  Two more paragraphs after what you can read.  Basically we won't be challenging for the top half of the conference but that a lot of coaches would have went 0-18 with the roster Miles had and we were in it late with some top 10 teams.  Then gives a quick rundown on who we lost and who is back.

Nothing earthshattering.

King's Court: Top 10 for 2013-14

7. Mediocre teams becoming good, bad teams getting better

I love picking sleeper teams. Not just in the NCAA tournament, but prior to the regular season, too. And please don't misunderstand: I'm not saying any of these squads are going to win the NCAA tournament. Heck, a few of them might not even make the NCAA tournament. But that doesn't mean they can't be sleeper teams, because I define sleeper teams as squads that will make significant strides in 2013-14.

(there is then a blurb about the Huskers, check it out, this one's free)

Incoming point guard Tai Webster, a New Zealand native, is a likely starter.

Wow.  ESPN just loves this kid.  They must have seen a little bit more in person than we have available to us on video.  Don't get me wrong, I think Webster is going to be great, maybe one of the best players that Nebraska has had in a long time, but ESPN has had nothing but great things to say about him.  They ranked him a 4-Star, said he would likely be a top-25 or top-50 player if he was in the US (or something like that), and now expecting him to be a starter as a true freshman...If Webster is as good as ESPN thinks he is, then Nebraska's turnaround could be alot more dramatic and happen alot more quickly than even those of us that wear the husker-goggles currently expect...

I hope they are right!

I read this and the first thing that popped into my head was that ESPN will soon be overly biased towards the SEC conference...and then I caught myself and laughed.  Perhaps that makes sense, perhaps it does not.

I'd settle for 80% as good as advertised.

With a kid who's already signed, I don't really look at their stars any longer.  Now it's how he plays.  And how good or bad he is doesn't depend on how many stars anyone gave him.  Look no further than Trey Burke for an example of that.  Now, Tai just has to come on campus and produce.  And prove ESPN wrong.
