When face value of an all session ticket in the second and third rounds going for up to $240, and three nights of hotel accommodation running probably $300 to $500, transportation running maybe $200 to $500 or more, souvenirs maybe another $100, and food and drink maybe another $500...

 

I mean, you could get a pretty nice flat screen TV and surround sound system for that kinda money and have something other than memories to enjoy after the games are over.

 

I know, I know...to a true fan, money is just an obstacle to overcome to watch your team play.  But not everyone is a fanatic or in financial position to drop that kind of jack on a weekend trip.

The thing I really like about the BIG is that I pull for the other teams in the league when they play against others out side of league play.

 

I was actually kind of mad that Wisconsin lost the other day.

 

Never had that feeling in any of the other 2 leagues we played in.

 

If a Big 8 or 12 team lost I was kind of happy about it.

 

Either it is that I am finally maturing or this league tends to make you like the other teams because most of the fans are civil towards each other.

 

Just something that I noticed about myself.

I mean I am actually giddy that the other 7 from the old Big 8 are 2-5.

 

I was shouting at my car radio as KSU was getting beat,  only wish I could have been there to see the tears in the eyes of the KSU faithful. :lol:

The swears of joy I let fly at my radio were probably heard fifty miles away in Manhattan.

I think we are seeing the cream rise to the top with the 3 games played so far today. :blink:

 

There might have been some "upsets" the last 2 days, but it might not be that way the rest of the way out. :huh:

That's how I like it.  Give me chaos on Thurs/Fri, order on Sat/Sunday, excitement the rest of the way.

Is it wrong that I'm actually rooting for OSU to beat Iowa State today?

 

It feels awkward, because I just hate them so much, but I can't help it.  I actually WANT the B1G to dominate in this tournament.

But wow, that was clutch.

That shot may have been...but he made some big mistakes down the stretch though too

 

That's probably what makes the shot clutch.  In spite of the mistakes, he still has the confidence to take the shot.

If he wouldn't have missed all the one-and-ones he wouldn't have needed to hit that 3.
