Dad admitted he was talking to Indiana as WV season was ongoing . Some mountaineers feel the kid faked an injury to get a fifth year. Tampering might be the right word

People get bitter - I didn’t say he faked it - WV fans did. The coach admitting he had talked to IU during the season being tampering was my point

The timing is suspicious. Tucker DeVries was done for the season on Febr. 4th. And on Febr. 7th, Mike Woodson proclaimed he would leave so Indiana needed a new coach going forward. That is the interloping time in which this issue of 'tampering' seemed to happen, apparently.
