That glover from Ohio state made 2 of the dumber plays I’ve seen in awhile…fouls us 6 times coming down the court and the refs finally call the 6th one to put us in the bonus with about 12 minutes to go and then using the last timeout with 4ish minutes left.  2 just super dumb plays that helped swing the tide in our favor.

Wooster although had some WTF moments his defense and efforts on the glass were BIG today.

How longs Berke laid up? Is the short bench gonna come back to bite us in the ass?

Also 100% from the foul line down the stretch, with a lot being 1 and 1s.  Was it three times?  Berke, Sam and Brice?  That's huge in a tight game.  12-12 in the last 5 minutes.

Meah 3-3 on free throws was not a square on the bingo card.  He gave good minutes and hopefully he can carry that over if he needs to carry a bigger load on Thursday.

His impact would have been bigger with a couple better entry passes. We missed him a couple times.

IMO the two best point guards in the country are in the Big Ten. Braden Smith and Bruce Thornton. There are some other good ones out there, but guys like RJ Davis, Tamin Lipsey and Mark Sears are having down years by their standards. Thornton is scary. He's like a mix of old school floor general and modern point guard who can cross you up, stop on a dime and drain a 28 footer. Built like a running back and strong as hell. IQ is off the charts. His efficiency might be more impressive than anyone else in the country considering his usage rate - shooting splits of 52/46/83 and 1.6 turnovers per game.

But Ohio State would be hot garbage without him. When you watch them, everyone else on their team looks poorly coached. I suppose that may be because they are. It's not for a lack of talent (4 and 5 stars galore on that roster). They are long and athletic. They play out of control and foul a whole lot. We're going to have a big home court advantage tomorrow. Need to make our free throws.

Freshman guard Mobley is kind of their Tominaga, but they don't really know how to use him like that. Still, he has legit NBA range and you cannot leave him alone. I'd be ok with making Royal and Stewart try to beat you in the post. Just don't let Thornton and Mobley go off from the perimeter.

Can I put you in charge of write ups?

Fun game today. Glad the collective of the Big Red squad was clutch down the stretch, did all the little things in the end that win B1G games. This team needs to keep the momentum going as long as they can. Making over 50% from the field and a vast majority of FTs, along with limiting run-outs & turnovers as a whole, will be the recipe for this NU squad. GBR
