Looks like Adams was called for an intentional on JP. and Prince shot the ft's

Pretty selfish play by Destiny Adams, she cost her team big-time on that intentional foul after a foul had been whistled on NU.

Jessica Petrie had a solid 12 points and 9 boards to go along with Petra's 8 & 4, they supplemented Alexis 14 & 14 in the post. Nebraska dominated on the interior, winning the rebounding battle 49-32 in the B1G road victory. GBR

Petra and Petrie are playing much better recently.  Hake has struggled offensively.

Ironically, Hake had the best +/- on the team, at a +19. The second best on the team was Petrie at +13.

Need nissley to hit her stride like she did at the end of last year. This offense looks a lot better if we start hitting a few more threes.

Hake has been terrific on the defensive end.  Her shots are there, just not falling.

Any player on the court can shoot foul shots when a flaggrant foul occurs. And the offended team gets the ball out of bounds after the freethrows.

thank you.  I also just found this ..... "In NCAA basketball, the penalty for an intentional foul is two free throws for the offended player and possession of the ball for the offended team.

 

So I still don't understand.  The offended player was Petrie

That play would be a good call in question for the coach on her call in show.

While I agree with not trying to play anyone heavy minutes (37-40) per game but we need someone to step up with the loss of Weidner but we may not have a lot of choice to play Britt more minutes. She played 36+ yesterday. Hoping Rimdal is the one to step up. If we can get her to do that then I feel like we could keep Britt's minutes more around the 30 per game. Without Weidner our best three ball handlers are Britt, Hake, and Rimdal. Great to see JP coming into her own (plus our staff knowing how best to use her). What we really need is our shooters (Hake and Nissley) to get our of their funk and start making those threes.

Yes— there is a difference between an intentional and flagrant foul.

 

Intentional is when a play is not made on the ball and is not a typical basketball play. 
 

Flagrant is when the foul is deemed excessive force.

 

With that being said, I haven’t seen the play so I don’t know. There’s also a chance that the announcers were confused by intentional vs flagrant foul as they are similar.

We seemed lost when Prince wasn’t on the floor.  I don’t think her minutes can be reduced much.

agree 100%........i haven't noticed an instance where Prince looked gassed and needed to come out.

granted, difficult to get the full picture watching on the tube.

 

(btw, how did minny beat rutgers by 26???....although, in the barn)

Pretty sure McMiller didnt play that game. We would of beat them by that much if not more as well if she wasnt playing. 

 

Heck even on a normal day I think we would of beat them by 15 with her playing but she couldnt miss at all.
