"The NCAA College Football Playoff is collapsing and will be replaced with the P2 governing body" is as likely as the "P4 will change the March Madness format." If it happens, then some of the benefits that come out of CBC will surface, if not, then more of the same with March Madness (not the best 64 teams in the tournament).

 

For the time-being, CBC is a good alternative for us. And we certainly need the reps.

Otherwise, if we want to play the "just focus on the transfer portal" game, we're better off just opting out of any postseason tournament. Either way the program wants to take this.

Indiana says they aren’t playing. So I guess we’ll test the theory that top 2 had to accept.

It sounds as though the seniors want to play. If that’s the case— go for it. Wan and Brice earned the right to make a call on this one if that’s what they want to do.

I'm a nerd for some of these matchups. But the NIT is slowly becoming a mid-major league. Only about 12% of the teams are P5. That's okay. But it's not what it was 30 years ago.

Yeah, but unfortunately all of college sports is not like it was 30 years ago.

I like to watch the earlier Bowl Games played by teams that are ecstatic to still be playing  in December in football.

They tend to be better played and played without guys opting out or transferring.

Even if this becomes a mid-major tournament it might become a bunch of good games.

I can see it now.  Troy Dannen becomes tournament chair next year. Nebraska is on the bubble.  Nebraska gets left out because they don't want to show favortism.
