Down three at the half.  The Lions defense is making us look inept on offense.  The casual passes are being tipped away and the sloppy turnovers are unacceptable.  What will a top flight defensive team do to us?

Team looks like it’s still on Thanksgiving break.  The lack of fire and want to us appalling.  Lindenwood is making the hustle plays.  Amy better find five who give some effort or this could turn into a major embarrassment.

Bozan played the best out of the bunch IMO.

That was one of the most pathetic half's I've seen NU do. We look like a bad junior varsity team. Unforced turnovers galore.  We really like to miss bunnies and that includes everybody.  I realize Markowski is our MVP but I' don't think I have ever seen someone miss more easy bunnies than her.  We try to feed her down low and half the time it's a turnover. Then when we get it to her she misses way too many.  I hope they get their sh*t  together the 2nd half because this would be a bad loss.  We should be blowing this team out.

Unless you watched or listened to the game, you would think NU had an easy game. The 2nd half was a lot better but it couldn't have been much worse than the first half.  What is Coley doing starting? She couldn't make 3 unguarded layups. Except for an occasional 3 she is useless.

NU played better on defense or at least with a little more effort.  It would be nice if we blocked out, especially Markowski.  Lindenwood made the most of what they had.  Final score is misleading as it was not an easy game.  Bozan and Petrie IMO got us the lead with some solid play in the third quarter.  There should be a lot of teaching points on film of this game.  If we play like this against 10-0 Minnesota our chances are slim.

Second straight game where AM was outplayed for the majority of the game not only by an opponent’s big but also by two of her own front court teammates.  Yes she had a good 4th qtr and finished with a misleading double double, but her numbers thus far are not as good as last year and we’ve only played one decent team.

I think she is missing Potts.

The team came out without intensity.  Hard to believe.  Amy must have "coached" them at the half.  The intensity appeared in the second half.

The lions threw up and made some REAL prayers in the first half, unbelievable.

Others here will pick on specific players, so I won't.   But the team has to move past Potts injury and get their collective sh*t together.

Despite my angst, we came away with a 20+ point victory.  In the past, we may have lost games like that.

Win and advance.

With Coley starting it looks like Amy is trying to find someone who wants to replace Potts as a starter. We have not found her yet. As pointed out on another thread, maybe 4 guards and Markowski is the answer. Also would not mind seeing both Markowski and Bozan in at the same time. Will give props to Petrie for a nice second half tonight. We start like this on Sunday and will be staring down a loss. The girls know it can't happen so will see if this is their wakeup call.

I think it’s harsh to say that Coley is useless. However, I will agree that she has underachieved during her time at NU. Do you guys remember how highly touted of a recruit she was coming here out of Minnesota? I believe she even graduated high school early in December and joined NU in January. She was billed as a difference-maker. For over 4 years now, I have been waiting for her to “put it all together” and  realize her full potential as a b-ball player, become a major contributor on both ends of the court. But for whatever reason, that just hasn’t happened.

Coley is a 3 and not a 4. It wasn't til this off season that she spent time at her natural position. Only going back to  a 4 since Potts injury. Had she been able to play the 3 I think she would have had a better college career. That said she will do whatever coach asks of her to I will give her props for being a great team player even if she has not produced much on the court.

We all agree that Potts’ injury has left a big hole and that Amy is searching for the answer.  I don’t think 4 guards is the answer for 2 reasons.  First, we’re not a great rebounding team with 3 guards so we might get eaten up on the boards with 4 in the B1G.  Second, we’re don’t seem to have 4 consistently productive guards.  Prince is solid and Hake is a nice surprise, but no one else has stepped up thus far.

I do like the idea of AM and Bozan together a lot, with Petrie rotating in.  But Amy seems locked in to Bozan primarily as a replacement for AM, which unnecessarily limits her minutes.
