That year was a bigger screw job than 2017-18.  We won twice against KU, and won at Oklahoma.  Also beat Missouri.  All teams that made the tournament.

Stevie Harley, as he goes by now, is one cool dude in D.C. now. From about the MSU 77-70 Husker win on, Stevie has "loved this team." I converse with him occasionally, loves his Huskers, usually goes to Maryland to see NU play there despite his hatred of the location of that venue, he shows up anyway. Harley Husker!!!

Harley was a pretty salty player ( starter ) on our “mighty mites” team that gave people all kinds of trouble.  That team played their butts off.  Still remember that heartbreaker at home vs A & M.

I’m pretty sure that A&M game will always hurt.  I just hope at some point it becomes less of a stabbing pain.
