Its not the plus minus that I'm talking about its the  efficiency where her 5 turnovers without any rebounds and only 2 points with one missed fg caused a rare negative rating.

I don't care, My post went over your head. And I'm sure that you were/are perfect at your job. ANd my post was about Stewart.

Sorry I upset you Bugeaters. Since your post didn't say who you were talking about I guess I assumed it was Kendall M. as that was the negative one I was talking about.  Anyways sorry.

The Nissley gal needs to on the floor a lot more than Krull or Moriarity.  Krull and Moriarity rarely give you any points.  You don't have to worry about guarding them. As a matter of fact, every time Krull or Moriarity dribble the ball I'm saying to myself "a turnover is coming, please give it to someone before you lose it." On the other hand,, Nissley is a real threat to make 3's.  They better guard her closely.

I've heard more than once that Krull is the best on ball defender on the team. There is another side to BB than points.

I definitely agree that defense is important, and we do have good shooters on the floor, but I don't see Krull being any better of a defender than Nissley at this point...maybe I'm missing something. She's smart, but she is pretty slow, and she isn't as long as Nissley and able to disrupt passing lanes. I'm pretty sure she has more steals than Krull, who has played in fewer games due to her injury. It's true that Nissley forces other teams to guard her, where Krull is just "there" most of the time, in my opinion.

I agree with this. I actually think Nissley is a better ball handler than both of them as well. She will shoot from anywhere with confidence. I like that.

This is a difficult game to watch.  NU was very sloppy in the third quarter and our ball handling against pressure is suspect.  Jaz is the only one creating offense by penetrating which has opened up some threes for others.  Our bigs have missed some cripples.  However, Southern’s defensive pressure should be a good to see what Ohio St and others will bring.

The only people that I think should bring the ball up are White and Shelley (when White is out). I believe Hake and White also do a good job penetrating and kicking the ball out for threes, but besides those three it's pretty limited.

I like the trajectory that Logan N. is on.  Rough start but each game getting better.  I think she has a big upside.  She was a point guard in high school but can obviously play shooting guard and at the three position may be what we are missing.

Agree.....

Niissley definitely has an upside that's in development. She had the freshmen factor to get over, and get into the flow. She has done that,  and continues to improve. I certainly see her as the shooting guard. She's becoming very productive for the low minutes she gets to play. She gets my vote for one of the top three or four guards. Her shooting skills can't be ignored any longer.

On top of that her BBall IQ is excellent.

Think the fouls called after the half was to make it more even on the FT's. I don't agree with it because some was bad. I do think Krull can be a good defender so would like to see more time between her and Nissley.  Not sure if Moriarity will ever turn the corner on the court.

Oh Kendall M…

I am dumbfounded that this far into her college career, she still has not put it all together and “turned the corner on the court”.  I truly am dumbfounded.

Seemed to me that she had all the physical tools to be a great player, a major contributor to this team.

I wonder why Kendall Coley is playing as much she is. It's not for her scoring.

Isn't that what everyone thought about Coley?

For what it's worth Logan N. is now hitting 42% for 3's.  At 45 attempts she is ten attempts short of being on the Big 10 chart which would put her in second place.

Coley is playing as much as she is because we don't have many other options. IMO I don't see any of our players as being great defensive players. Average at best. A few below average. Colely is a decent 3 pt. shooter when all she has to do is catch and shoot.  She never dribbles and creates her shot.  I can't remember her ever driving to the basket for a layup.  With all the hype about her when she joined the team, I was expecting a lot more that has never materialized.

I know the old saying "scoring wins games but defense wins championships".  At Nebraska I'd be happy at just winning lots of games.

Bugeaters1, Yes I am sure I most likely posted about Coley not turning the corner and yet after coming in early, and as a junior she finally seems to be getting it. Glad for her. Will say this KM is a good teammate even if her on court production isn't much to speak of. Now let's go girls and kick some Jayhawk toosh.
