Heard in the game,  at a late time out, and they were recording Iowa's discussion, and could hear Clark tell the team (didn't write down the exact words)  .....but it was in essence... no let up, to bury them (NU) make them pay.  Typical bully talk....reflects how they are coached and play.

OK I'm done whining.

 

The girls did themselves well in the tourney, without a doubt.  We don't get much respect in the league, but have undoubtedly changed a few minds this year. We're a young team, with a huge upside.  A fun team to watch.  

 

Monday will be interesting to see the ratings. Could we have broken into the top 25?  Looks like we'll get a decent seed in the NCAA's. Isn't it nice to have no doubt we're in the big one ?

 

 

Let's hope They made Us 'Pay' so much that They are a step slow Today!!!

I have zero problem with what they said in huddle. That's what you do when you're ahead of someone. Bury them. Don't let them think they can come back.

actually last night I thought she had taken a step up in behavior and sportsmanship.  I seldom saw the chicken wing and she didn't spend as much time as usual on the floor.

Seems like Clark has gotten inside a lot of people’s heads.  Of course she shouldn’t be allowed to get away with the minor feet shuffling, but that hardly gave her a substantial competitive advantage.  Bottom line is we had no one who could do anything to slow her down when she wanted to score.  
While that’s true for most teams, also getting dominated inside by Czinano was especially disappointing and too much to overcome.  And we’d better figure something out since they’re both back next year!

She's subtle with the elbows.   Not getting away with it as much today.  Crowd seems to be keeping the refs a bit more honest.  Indiana is giving them a run for their money.

Creme has the Huskers as a 6 seed playing 11 seed Washington State. who knows how it will shake out, however, i hope he is correct as far as being a 6 seed. 7-10 seeds always make me nervous. lost a number of brackets over the years picking the 7 seed to win!

 

Yep....Unless something strange happens the 6 seed looks like the good matchup....and a decent part of the bracket itself to boot.

 

Iowa won the tourney today by about 5-10 or so. ....Boooooo

 

The men's team beat #10 nationally today.....Wisconsin....... without our superstar freshman Brice McGowens (sp) ...hurt ankle or something...and his older brother was ejected on an arm to the head foul on a layup. It was a barn burner.....At Wisconsin. 

 

They haven't been able to beat their way out of a paper bag all year...now have won three straight....(2 top 25 teams)

She's done plenty to "get noticed" throughout the year.  The Brad Davidson of women's B1G basketball.

Almost a triple duple for Clark, 41, 9 and 9. 9 turnovers. Clark would be better serviced to think less about her own shot and take better care of the ball and get more teammates involved. Granted she gets them wins and can get them back into games but she could be so much more.

Clark had some weak passes but takes some risks to get her teammates opportunities too. Sometimes pays off other times its a TO. She is nowhere near Brad Davison status, Clark is a flat out baller and problem for all opponents. Had no problem with her saying put them away now, give them no hope that is all typical huddle talk in any sport in that position. Nebraska has a lot going for them and could be a problem for teams in the tournament if Haiby, Shelley, and Markowski all show up. Next year one of the top teams in the BIG and should be top 15 nationally to start the year.

As we can now see the importance of a top four seed in the Big Ten Tournament and a top 16 seed in the NCAA.  How nice would it be to play the first two rounds in Pinnacle.
