jayschool Posted March 17, 2021 Report Posted March 17, 2021 Best thing, Kobe will be 22 years old next season (for reference sake, he's three years older than Yvan), so Kobe can be a mature influence (along with Trey) on young Bryce McGowens, upon whom so many expectations will be placed. Quote

How can this be? I thought Yvan was perpetually 17. jayschool 1 Quote
jayschool Posted March 17, 2021 Report Posted March 17, 2021 In addition, Kobe's working on a master's in educational administration, and though I guess it's possible he could have done that in a year, it's more than likely this extra year gives him a chance to complete it and to meet some of his mentors in the College of Education in person. Quote Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg showed Webster a shot chart in the midseason, shifting Webster’s shots away from mid-range looks and toward more 3s. “That’s helped his shooting percentage out there on the floor,” Hoiberg said after the Northwestern game. Quote His scholarship will not count against the 13-man total. (BUT) His baskets WILL - and he's started making a lot of them. Quote

One more note from the story: Thorbjarnarson, a native of Iceland, is 14 months older than Webster, however, and may be looking toward a professional career. That makes "The Hammer" 46 months older than recently departed Frenchman Yvan Ouedraogo, who, unbeknownst to almost everyone, played his entire first year at Nebraska as a 17-year old. OK. That last sentence was mine. NoladrianSephier, roscoe and Silverbacked1 1 2 Quote
