Inquiring minds want to know what anyone found on the rims and how this potentially impacts a critical OVT game tonight?  Hoping someone was able to help @royalfan!!!

Thanks. Looks like the most important games today are:

Michigan over Iowa, of course

Virginia over Louisville

Georgia Tech over NC State

California over Arizona State

Oregon St over Washington

I think Western Kentucky versus Middle Tennessee is a toss-up.

Does anyone really think the angry Nebraska basketball gods are going to allow Michigan to win this game to give us an opportunity at a quality win?  I am fully expecting our run through MSG to consist of Iowa/Wisconsin/Northwestern where we lose in the finals on a full court underhand heave at the buzzer.  This would make Joe Lunardi and Jerry Palm smile.

I was tending to lean MTSU.  I saw multiple tweets and stories that said a road win for WKU would put them back on the right side of the bubble where MTSU already is.  Do you think if WKU wins, it becomes a 1 bid league?

Yeah I think I would lean MTSU as well if I had to choose. I think it's more likely to be a 1-bid league if MTSU wins. But then we would need to make more that MTSU gets the auto bid, as well.

Now that I was thinking about it, if WKU wins, there is a chance that that is just a 1 bid league maybe.  If Mid Tennessee wins and then loses in the conference championships, then there is a chance that that becomes a 2 bid league maybe.  Lordy that is a tough one for tonight.  I wish I knew what the committee was thinking.

Big Ten Tourney: Wisconsin 119/Maryland 65 - 11am BTN Maryland - 2 1/2  I feel Wisconsin better to boost all 6 metrics
Big Ten Tourney: Iowa 155/Michigan 25 - 1:30 BTN Michigan - 8 1/2  I am in the minority but I want Iowa to win unless you all can convince me otherwise.  Easier to beat Iowa than Maryland. The downside is if we are in now, which we may be we could play our way out with a loss to Iowa.  This is tricky as hell.  May edit this before tip.  As of now, this is a tournament and our chances of winning the tournament are better if Iowa wins.

Big Ten Tourney: Northwestern 159/Penn State 83 - 5:30 BTN Penn St - 5 1/2  Need Penn St. Played them twice so improves all 6 metrics
Wichita State 12/UCF  68 - 6pm ESPN Wichita St. - 10 Need UCF
Tulsa 75/East Carolina 273 - 6pm ESPNU  Tulsa - 8 1/2  Need East Carolina but wouldn't sweat it too hard
Morgan State 331/Delaware State 351 - 6:30 http://www.dsuhornets.com/liveEvents/liveEvents.dbml?SPSID=82263&SPID=5813&DB_OEM_ID=12900&db_oem_id=12900 no line  Need Delaware St.  Lets stream senior night to help send off this great group of seniors.  Last night of the season for the hype man as well.  Also one of last chances to play way out of bing the worst RPI team in the nation

Virginia 1/Louisville  38- 7pm ACC network/ESPN3  Virginia -4 Need Virginia badly.  High leverage game here.
Western Kentucky 53/Middle Tennessee 26- 7pm CBS Sports Network  Middle Tennessee St - 4 1/2  I feel we need Middle Tennessee St. here but it is debatable
NC State 46/Georgia Tech 163 - 7pm Acc Network/ESPN3  NC St - 2 1/2  May not matter but Georgia Tech cant hurt
Arkansas State 306/Louisiana 34 -7:15 https://www.ragincajuns.com/watch/?Live=875&type=Live  Louisiana - 19 1/2  Could use Arkansas St. here
Big Ten Tourney: Rutgers 209/Indiana 110 - 7:55 BTN  Indiana - 7 1/2  Need Rutgers as we played them twice to help all 6 metrics
Oregon 71/Washington State  169- 8pm ESPN2 Oregon -9  Need Washington St
California 212/Arizona State 40 - 8pm ESPNU Arizona St -14 Need California

North Dakota 233/Sacramento State 312- 9:05 www.plutotv.com  Sacramento St -1  Need North Dakota
Oregon State 161/Washington 51 - 10pm ESPN2  Washington -3 Need Oregon St.
Long Beach State 204/UC Santa Barbara 101- 10pm ESPNU  UCSB -7 Need Long Beach St.

Others

Ohio Valley Tourney  Eastern Illinois 251/Austin Peay 167- 8:30 http://www.ovcdigitalnetwork.com/watch/?Live=6283&type=Live  Austin Peay - 4 1/2  Need Eastern Illinois

MEAC Tourney Marist/Fairfield -  8pm ESPN3 Fairfield - 7 1/2  Need Marist  Good news is this shit is over with if they lose.

Bonus  Ohio Valley Conference Jacksonville St versus Tennessee Tech.  UNDER 134.  This will probably go down eventually.  I know one of the biggest sports gamblers in the nation and when I give him tip he will probably play it massively and not sure if he will get it all off screen(books that won't influence lines)  Reasoning behind the play.  Line in line with how they typically do lines, similar to KenPom prediction.  New arena, where Evansville plays.  Rims certainly did not seem loose.  Neutral to neutral tight.  Main reasoning is that Jacksonville St. won this last year and implemented a fairly extreme slowdown style of play, playing solid defense and using up 20 seconds damn near every time before getting into an action, seemingly to preserve legs for a 3 day run.  Same coach, some of same players.  I would sure think they go to this again since it worked last year.  Second half potentially an even stronger play if the halftime line projects the game to be fairly close J St. win and I can confirm they are doing the slowdown.   First half a good play as well if prefer to go that route to take potential Overtime ass ending out of play.

If the goal is to win the tournament, then, yeah, you want the "worst" possible opponents. If you want to do some work on the resume as well, you want the better opponents. Personally, I'd prefer to get swings at better teams. In all reality, our chances of winning the tournament, even if we do get Iowa and Maryland or Wisconsin are still pretty small and our resume hasn't really been improved at all. I say give me Michigan then let's take a swing at some big dogs.

I can see it both ways.  Me personally, I think we are in right now.  I think the win over PSU clinched the play-in game at least.  However, that is only with a loss to Michigan.  If we would lose to Iowa tomorrow, we would be out.  Therefore I would like to see Michigan.

If you are one that are heavy into metrics, then I could see us wanting Michigan, Michigan State, and then Purdue/Ohio State.

If you are wanting to win the entire thing, I could see wanting Iowa, Wisconsin, then OSU or Indiana OR PSU.

Honestly, this is the first year where I don't care who we play because we can beat anyone.

my games post edited to add the damn Marist game.  I just realized those clowns are playing.  The good news, is they are done if they lose again.

The Red Foxes are something else. Somehow (in Orlando) they took West Virginia to the wire. That seems like a million years ago.....

For those involved in the under play, you may want to get out at halftime.  Tech playing too stupid and tight on d to let them consider using clock.  I think it goes under, but the reasoning for the play is not there surprisingly to me.  Up to your risk tolerance.  If you prefer a middle chance I wouldn't fault that choice. I may for some.
