hskr4life Posted November 10, 2017 Report Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) I was thinking this morning... how much I would love a 2 day BTN Season Kickoff. Every game broadcast by BTN starting at 8 AM on the first day of the basketball season. I would totally watch! If you take everyones first games, the schedule could look something like this. Day 1 and Day 2 would look like... All Times CST 8 AM-- Rutgers Vs. CCNY 10:30 AM-- Maryland-- Stoney Brooke 1 PM-- Indiana-- Indiana State 3:30 PM-- Illinois-- Southern University 6 PM-- Purdue Vs. SIUE Edwardsville 8:30 PM-- Minnesota Vs. USC Upstate 11 PM-- Nebraska Vs. Eastern Illinois 8 AM-- Penn State Vs. Campbell 10:30 AM--Ohio State-- Robert Morris 1 PM-- Michigan-- Central Michigan (I had to exclude opener vs North Florida since they would have already played MSU) 3:30 PM-- Wisconsin-- South Carolina State 6 PM-- Northwestern Vs. Loyola Maryland 8:30 PM-- Michigan State Vs. North Florida 11 PM-- Iowa Vs. Chicago State Edited November 10, 2017 by hskr4life jayschool 1 Quote
Handy Johnson Posted November 10, 2017 Report Posted November 10, 2017 Jayschool is on point. Northwestern could EASILY beat the Bluebirds & Bucky the Badger will have his hands full with Xavier. Noah121 and jayschool 1 1 Quote
throwback Posted November 13, 2017 Author Report Posted November 13, 2017 Providence currently a 2-pt favorite over the Rodents. Hopefully Minny can steal this one on the road. Quote
dustystehl Posted November 13, 2017 Report Posted November 13, 2017 I wish all of the Big East teams were involved in the Gavitt Games. Would be fun to have 10 games. To me, this event loses some of its luster when neither Michigan State nor Villanova are involved. Any Big Ten team would be thrilled to play Georgetown. Any Big East team would be thrilled to play Michigan. I wasn't expecting the Gavitt Games to be on par with the B1G/ACC Challenge, but it could be MUCH better. Quote
jayschool Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 I wish Iowa were forced to play in it. Man, their non-con schedule is weak outside the B1G-ACC game against Virginia Tech. Quote

throwback Posted November 15, 2017 Author Report Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) Purdue 32, Marquette 30 at half - pretty good defense from MU, as Purdue has been scoring at will vs lesser opponents so far this season - Boilers led most of the half by 5-8 pts PU was a 5-pt favorite at tip Edited November 15, 2017 by throwback Quote
throwback Posted November 15, 2017 Author Report Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) PU wins going away - man, Purdue moves the ball well. Impressive 2nd half offensively for the Boilers. A couple of random close-ups on Ed Morrow on the MU bench during the broadcast Great start for the B1G vs that other league with two double-digit road wins Minnesota 86, at Providence 74 Purdue 86, at Marquette 71 Wednesday, Nov. 15 -- B1G leads 2-0 5:30 pm – Indiana at Seton Hall, FS1 7:30 pm – Butler at Maryland, FS1 8 pm – Creighton at Northwestern, BTN Thursday, Nov. 16 **5:30 pm – Nebraska at St. John’s, FS1 7:30 pm – Xavier at Wisconsin, FS1 Friday, Nov. 17 7:30 pm – DePaul at Illinois, BTN After Maryland and NW win tomorrow, NU can clinch things on Thursday.
