  1. Me too. There were two guys who sat in the row in front of me who never stood all year. Not once for other than for the anthem and first bucket. They stood the entire time. It was awesome.
  2. I thought the atmosphere came across as pretty intense and it still couldn't fully portray just how bonkers it was in there.
  3. The first names that comes to mind is Jack Mitchell and Chris Whitney. I know they are both fans and talk about the games quite a bit on their morning show. This might be something the guys on 93.7 want to consider Bogarting.
  4. About 2/3 of 'em. Couple even as high as a 9. Most in the 10-11 range.
  5. Had to clear out some of the old guard. He'll get on lists to start next season. I'd bet Petteway is pre season POY, Shavon could find himself on the 2nd team to start the season.
  6. Here's a thought I've had bouncing around my head the past couple of weeks. Back when Biggs signed there was a lot of hope that he would be the local kid to come in and resurrect the program. As we all know, that didn't happen. But Shields is kinda everything we've been looking for. I mean, he wasn't born and raised in the state of Nebraska, but KC really isn't that far away, he's a legacy kid, who's skilled at basketball and super smart. He may as well be local.
  7. I just want in. I'll take whatever happens after that.
  8. Actually, the rule is you can't play someone you've played twice or more until the Sweet 16. There have been a few exceptions like for when the Big East got an absurd number of teams in a couple of years ago, it was unavoidable.
  9. Well, this just made my night! Thanks for stopping by, Kent!
  10. Had at least two HHCers quoted in there. Good stuff!
  11. They seem to have embraced the moment much like we have.
  12. But somehow didn't make BTN's third team. I don't see how that's the case! If he'd played like that all year, he'd be in. The slow start hurts him here. He'll be on lists to start next season.
  13. Why is that a bad thing? Well, winning our first tourney game ever just to face a top seed isn't the easiest path to a Cinderella run ever, but that's the negative Husker fan in me. I forgot to leave that BS at the door. It's not BS, but, the path to a Cinderella run is never gonna be easy. I believe the quote is "Great moments are born from great opportunity". Get in, get as high a seed as possible and if that means you face a #1 in the second round if you're fortunate enough to win that first game, then so be it. That seems like it would be a heck of an opportunity.
  14. Why is that a bad thing?
  15. It may be something that is on our minds, and I'd be lying if I didn't say it wasn't on mine however, that doesn't mean that it is a question that I want asked of our current coach or that I myself would ever want to ask him. I have never seen any clamor from the fan base for him to answer this question. This was a question designed to get a great quote for the paper. Dirk already knew the answer to this question so why ask it in the first place. There is nothing wrong with writing about the exorcism of demons since it means something to the die hard fans but it means nothing to this current group of players, as it shouldn't. Therefore, why ask the question to our coach in the first place? You ask the question because you can't manufacture a quote. Even columnists need quotes. If you want to know exactly what he thinks about an issue, you have ask him the question.
  16. It was a fair question that received an equally fair response.
  17. NO ONE SAT DOWN! I THINK THEY'RE STILL STANDING! - This is the night we've been dreaming of for 16 years. That atmosphere was unlike anything I've been apart of. And it lasted the whole night. They called for "No Sit Sunday and the fans came through. - The Huskers big three came to play. I don't know that there would have been many teams that would have come in here today and won. This was a special place tonight. - Man, Shields is the best player on the team right now. - I love that these guys aren't afraid. - I love that Miles says the curse is bullS#!&. - I don't know where things are going to end for this team, but this ride has been nothing short of unbelievable. - You know it's never going to get better than tonight, right? The expectations have been raised for this program. But tonight, this ride, is special. It will live in the annals of Husker history. We will be talking about this night for the rest of our lives. I love this team. I love this journey. I'm really excited to see what they do in Indianapolis. Enjoy this, fellas. Next year is here. This post has been promoted to an article

  19. This would be completely awesome. Unless someone has signs it simply won't happen. How hard can it be to get some signs. Or maybe a student section thing.
  20. Well, Bama beating Arkansas would be bad for the Razorbacks. Tide aren't very good.
  21. You guys know how many times NU has won 11 conference games or more? Just three. Last time was 1965. Before that, you have to go back to 1925. Not even in the greatest era of NU basketball did they find a way to do that. I realize they play more games now than they did in the past, but it's still a pretty remarkable number.
  22. Can we get the "US ALWAYS" chant going to start the 2nd half?
  23. Each one gets bigger based on the success of the previous. Considering where this program has been, I can't find a bigger home game in the history of the program. I think if they win tomorrow, we'll be able to put it on the list with any of those NCAA games if they continue to win games over the next two weeks. Just because they made it into the dance, doesn't mean this game can't be bigger than those if they win it for all that it sets up for them.
  24. Too late to start something like that.
  25. Who knows if he'd have been recruited if Miles had been here two years earlier, but he fits what Miles wants to do pretty well. Sometimes a little luck is the best option.
