Win at MSU not looking as spectacular
uneblinstu replied to Stiltz Guy's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
lol. Relax, it's a helluva win, Michigan's pretty damn good themselves. You're over thinking it. If we get left out, it won't be because Michigan St. lost to Michigan on the road. -
This is what I've been waiting for since I moved to Lincoln 14 years ago. This is what many have been waiting for for even longer than that. - Petteway is just a machine. - After that ugly start, raise your hand if you thought they'd get to Runza territory by the 8 minute mark of the second half. - Parker was the spark again. He's been unbelievable without scoring any points. Fan favorite. - Rivers, too, he played outstanding as well. Rebounding like a maniac. - Big time game from Shields. Second career double double. He's starting to get more consistent, too. - Purdue couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Some of that credit goes the Husker defense. They got so frustrated they just stopped shooting threes. That made NU's job a lot easier on the defensive side. - Purdue doesn't have an identity right now. - The Huskers need a guy inside like Hammonds. Maybe Hammond will be the guy. - This is unrecognizable from any Nebrasketball team I've ever seen. Heck, they're unrecognizable from earlier this year. They do a little bit of everything. And they've become a team that does a lot of defense. - Man, that finish by Pitchford on the alley-oop blew the roof off the place. That was sweet! - Gallegos seems to be pretty unconfident right now. Shot seems a bit flat. - Smith struggled a bit but did some good work on the boards. - Things are starting to get real for the Huskers, now. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the road and this streak. - It's not just that NU won, it's that they're blowing teams out. Even on the road, they led MSU by 13 late. This team doesn't fear anything right now. This is fun, guys. Enjoy the ride. Here's to six straight on Wednesday! This post has been promoted to an article

Nah, NBA three.

Still don't agree with him. I'd say we're top 5, but I'd still put those two above us right now, even after our win in East Lansing.
-
How do I know things are happening around this team? This is how: And she lives in Texas.
-
BTW, with five games to go, we're still not eliminated from winning the whole thing...and hold the tiebreaker over MSU.
-
Just ask Mizzou.

Might this be a Destination Job for our Coach??
uneblinstu replied to jimmykc's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Yep. Pay him like it's a destination job and you'll be shocked how quickly it becomes one. Could the day be coming where Miles makes as much as Bo? what does each make now? -
They have in the past. I remember getting a letter asking if I wanted tickets if we got a home game back in 2011. I'd assume that will be the case again if we find ourselves in that situation.
-
I can tell you that I will be purchasing tickets for any and all home games played in the post season if we don't make it to the Dance.

Still unknown who would win that tiebreaker. Here's the tiebreaker rules. A. Two-team tie: 1. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular-season. 2. Each team's record vs. the team occupying the highest position in the final regular-season standings (or in the case of a tie for the championship, the next highest position in the regular-season standings), continuing down through the standings until one team gains an advantage. a. When arriving at another pair of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group (prior to their own tie-breaking procedures), rather than the performance against the individual tied teams. b. When comparing records against a single team or a group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e., 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is not better than 1-0). 3. Won-loss percentage of all Division I opponents. 4. Coin toss conducted by the Commissioner or designee. So, basically, we want MSU to win the league, then.
-
Basically, you want NU to get a top 4 seed and hope that whomever NU gets matched up with has spend a lot of energy to get through that first round game.
-
That was kind of him. It's not true, but that was nice of him to say.
-
I see Dourisseau and Krenk tweet pretty consistently too. I'd imagine guys that left the program on good terms pay close attention to how things are going.
-
If we finish tied with OSU, who would get the tiebreaker? Honestly, I want whatever gets us a matchup with Iowa on the second day of the tournament.

Not if Wisconsin keeps playing well. We'll be fighting for fifth or sixth if we keep playing well.

Familiar ... and a lot of Tim Miles envy. That's kinda cool. How cute. They've got the "who would they hire if they fired him" guy. Love that guy. Minnesota had a case of the Miles envy, too. I hear some still do -
Prodigy was my first. You always remember your first.
