Two Tuesday night home games, one Wednesday night. You'll get some Saturday home games this year. Man I hope you're right Crazy. 150 mile drive one way for us. I hate getting home at 1 or 2 in the morning. Love the dedication!!!

There are still seats available in sections 306 - 317 but other than that, it's pretty full. There is nothing left in the 100 and 200 sections. Should make for some good crowds this season I hope.

I have midcourt seats and when we were still over at THE BOB and Sadler was the coach, I couldn't give my seats away. Since then, I've only had to sell my seats a few times since we've been at PBA and Miles is the coach and I've had not problem at all selling them. I even sold them above face value each time as had several people interested. When the place is sold out, the demand for tickets becomes greater. I've found that NU basketball tickets are becoming a very hot item since Miles has taken over.

If you had to pick one player (assuming you were able to watch the games online), which player did you feel was the biggest surprise and biggest disappointment just based on these 4 games. Biggest Surprise = Jack McVeigh Biggest Disappointment = Andrew White III With that being said, this freshman class did not disappoint. I was impressed with Marrow and Watson as well but thought Jack was better than I expected.

I can't seem much variation in the starting lineup besides those 5 guys.

I just logged in as there are currently only 2 seats open in the lower bowl. Otherwise, the only seats open are in the 200 or 300 level section. So if you are someone already in the upper bowl looking to move down, chances are not good. But if you want to just improve your seats and stay in the 200 or 300 level, you might be able to do that. I used this process for NU volleyball as well but wasn't able to improve my seats as they were already taken. If you aren't one of the first people able to log in, then all the good seats are typically gone within the first day.

Totally agree as if people can't see the talent level has risen dramatically, then they don't know basketball. Miles has taken us to the NCAA tournament 33% of the time he has been our head coach. How many other NU basketball coaches can say that. I'm not planning on an NCAA bid this year but wouldn't entirely rule it out either. Even an NIT bid would be a step forward with this group. You can see how things are setting up for the next couple of years. Maybe I'm drinking to much Kool-Aide but I can see us stringing together a streak of NCAA bids in the near future and our first NCAA win is just right around the corner.

SIAP - Any rumors or talk about who the new
kldm64 replied to colhusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
If he wanted Strickland on staff, he would have hired him already. Just because he played here doesn't make him a good choice. No doubt he is very passionate about NU hoops but I'd rather explore other options. -
I used the seat yourself process for Vball and it was pretty sweet. I wasn't able to upgrade but like they are going to this instead of trying to call or just put your preference down on the form. This way, it's fair for everyone. Only drawback is they let the people with more donor priority points go first but overall, that is probably fair.

Chris Obekpa 2015 Transfer St John's -> UNLV
kldm64 replied to Jugular's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Not sure it would be worth it to tie up a scholarship for 2 years to just get 1 year from him. -
That's the difference is those great players just let their play do the talking where LeBron has to tell everyone how great he is. And he wonders why people don't like and respect him as much as MJ.
-
Hard to believe this is true and nobody is reporting anything about it. Guessing it's just a bad rumor (or at least I hope so)

The best rule change is the reduction of timeouts. I agree the 30 second shot clock won't have the much impact but only allowing each team to have 3 timeouts in the 2nd half is a very good change. And love that it will count as media timeout as well if called within 30 seconds of it. Well done rules committee.

Paschal Chukwu 2015 C Providence transfer -> Syracuse

Or a hanging curve ball... -
Max Bielfeldt (Michigan 2015 Transfer)
kldm64 replied to gobigredbrah's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I think almost the exact opposite of this. I think we were waiting on getting a feel for Paschal, and if we have a good shot at landing him. I don't think it is a coincident that Max B. committed to Indiana the "Night" Paschal was in Lincoln all "Day". I think Miles knows more on the Paschal situation and informed Max that the scholarship was no longer available That's a stretch when we are a long ways away from closing the deal with Paschal. He is visiting KU now and will most likely visit Michigan State and/or Virginia yet. Not sure you tell a kid that the scholarship is no longer available at this point unless Paschal said he was going to cancel his other visits and committed on the spot. No question we'd rather have Paschal commit but Max would have been a great fill in player for this year as well. -
Paschal Chukwu 2015 C Providence transfer -> Syracuse
kldm64 replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
That's not necessarily true as you don't know why he is transferring. Maybe he want's to play in a Final Four and if so, KU would be a pretty good choice of schools. Or he just doesn't get along with the coach. Could be transferring for a number of reasons. I just hope that we have everything he is looking for as this would be a major get for Nebraska. -

Agree, I have cross my fingers and toes. Me too, this kid would be a game changer. If he commits and everyone sticks around, 2016-17 Season would have five ESPN 100 players on it. That would be something that has not happened before. The late 80's early 90's had some stars, but what Miles has put together these last couple years has been jaw dropping amazing. If he could land this kid, I couldn't have drawn it up any better. Andrew White III Glynn Watson Ed Morrow Anton Gill "Paschal Chukwu" <-If he signs The previous two coaches would have maybe landed one of them. I'm going to go on a limb and say they couldn't of gotten Fuller, McVeigh and Webster either I'll go further out on the limb and say the previous two coaches would have not landed any of them. -

Not sure Molinari deserves more money than Hunter. Just saying....

Paschal Chukwu 2015 C Providence transfer -> Syracuse
kldm64 replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
i don't believe we can have both. I would prefer paschal. I think max might make us 1-2 games better for the upcoming season, but paschal could be an nba center with a year of development and we would possibly get 3 full seasons of him. We can have both. One would have to pay his own way. It's happened before. Or we pull someone scholarship. If both want to come, it would be a very good scenario for us with one getting to play this year and the other getting to play the following year. Its hard enough recruiting to NU as it is. Pulling a scholarship at this point would definitely hurt more in the long run than us getting these two guys. Just curious why you think it would hurt more in the long run? You trade a guy like Benny Parker or Jacob Hammond for a guy that is a better player and benefits the program long term, how does that hurt? -

Doesn't the NCAA combat this kind of thing? Otherwise this kind of stuff would go on all the time. Doug McDermitt was a walk-on his senior year so they could open up another scholarship. NCAA don't care how you do it as long as you are under the scholarship limit.
