  1. None since they started tracking Rivals top 150 players...
  2. Dirk Chatelain wrote this in his mad chatter column today: Finally, I walked about 100 yards with Tim Miles outside Memorial Stadium Saturday. With all the people asking Miles for photos and hand shakes, Miles said he lost his recruit in the crowd. Apparently he found him. Ed Morrow, a power forward from Chicago, committed to NU’s 2015 class, joining point guard Glynn Watson, forward Michael Jacobson and Kansas transfer Andrew White. If the class stays together, analysts will surely call it one of the best in Husker history. They should do their research on Andre Woolridge and Erick Strickland, but that’s beside the point. Miles is parlaying last year’s banner season on the court into a banner recruiting year. As successful as Miles was in grabbing transfers, I was surprised (and a bit alarmed) that he hadn’t grabbed any Top-100 recruits his first two years in Lincoln. Was it ever gonna happen? Now he’s landed his second one of the month. Very impressive. Unless Tai Webster breaks out, I think the Huskers will struggle in 2014-15 to meet lofty expectations. But if Terran Petteway, Shavon Shields and Walt Pitchford all return for their senior seasons, 2015-16 could be special. Consider the cast of characters: Perimeter: Petteway, Shields, White, Watson, Tarin Smith, Tai Webster, Benny Parker Interior: Pitchford, Morrow, Nick Fuller, Jake Hammond There will attrition, there always is in college basketball. Somebody will transfer. Maybe Petteway declares for the NBA. But Nebraska is not a flash in the pan. The Big Ten better take Miles seriously.
  3. Correct and the freshman from Omaha that already committed in on an un-official visit as well.
  4. Maybe he doesn't want to have the Creighton fans think he is copying Gibbs. Now that's funny!!! Nobody wants to be like Gibbs...
  5. It's not one or the other. I'd take them both if possible.
  6. I think there is a better than not chance we land him but my point was that he may not commit during his visit.
  7. Now that Nebraska has landed White, Watson, and Jacobson...that means they have 2 more spots to fill (assuming that Smith isn't granted an extra season of eligibility). Morrow will likely commit the weekend of his visit for the Nebraska vs Miami game. That will leave Nebrasks with 1 more open spot (assuming no additional attrition). I'm not sure it's likely Morrow will commit this weekend on his visit but hoping he does. Keeping my fingers crossed though. What's your hunch that makes you think otherwise? He is a very mature kid (much like Andrew White) and think most people automatically assume he will commit here due to his parents went here. He also has only taken 2 official visits so he might want to see a few other schools before he commits. Trust me, I want this kid very badly but wouldn't be surprised if he left without committing is all I'm saying. I don't just assume that it's likely he will commit this weekend but hope I totally wrong.

  9. Hope he gets here in time for Miles to take him by the NU Volleyball game tonight.
  10. Best news ever!!!! What an amazing young man to deal with this for a 3rd time and does it with a smile on his face. Way to go Avery!!!
  11. I had my hopes up we could land this kid until I learned we were going to have to compete against Socctoberfest. How can any school compete against that as doesn't seem like a fair fight. I can see any kid that CU brings in during Socctobersest getting caught up in the moment and committing on the spot. I think all other schools need to ban together and petition the NCAA and put a stop to allowing CU to use Socctoberfest as a recruiting tool. Nobody has a chance against that...
  12. Here is good article on expections for NU http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/20/expectations-have-changed-for-nebraska-after-surprise-run-to-2014-ncaa-tournament/

  14. What signs point to us being the team to beat to get Morrow?
  15. And can you image if Petteway does come back for his senior year and you have Shields, White, Petteway, and Pitchford all in your starting lineup.
  16. Andrew can have whatever he wants. If he wants #3, Benny need to give it up.
  17. I don't assume the plan is for him to apply for medical redshirt. It certainly could happen but not sure that is the automatical plan. They coaches might not want to tie up his scholarship for another year and try to go get a better player. I feel bad for Leslee as think he could have helped us this year but with is knee issues, not sure they want to roll the dice with trying to get him another year after this one. Tough call for the coaching staff as he is definitely a team player and hope the best for him no matter what happens.
  18. I will puke if he goes to CU.
  19. If we don't land this kid, it isn't for lack of effort from the coaching staff.
  20. He has to announce in the next week or so as school starts soon. Can't put it off much longer.
  21. If he doesn't commit while in Iowa you really have to like our chances. No chance he commits while in Iowa City. He's gonna take his visits. And he may end up taking more official visits than just to NU and Iowa yet. It will be a dogfight to get him but think we have as good of shot as anyone.
  22. Probably more in range of 2 and 3 stars players as opposed to 3 and 4 star players. I don't believe Sadler or Collier even sniffed a 4 star player and/or got them to visit. I have totally faith in Miles and the coaching staff that they know what they are doing and we'll see some good results come November signing period.
  23. Couldn't said it any better!!!! Did you actually think we'd automatically be able to out-recruit schools like KU or Duke just because we built new facilities? This coaching staff has not been in place that long and have done and incredible job to getting top kids to come take a look. You can't have an attitude of "the sky is falling" everytime time a recruit doesn't come here. I was never this excited about recruiting under Sadler or Collier. I think TheKamdyMan's post nailed it.
  24. Put yourself in his shoes for a moment. Other than us fans want to know now, why does he need to be in a hurry? Just because he is taking his time doesn't mean he is holding out for other offers. Maybe he just wants to make sure he is making the right decision. He may already know he wants to come to NU (or another school) but can't blame him for continuing to look at other schools if he wants to ensure he picks the best school for him. Lots of kids don't do that and thus why there are so many transfers every year.
  25. Article from Lee Barkfkneft from Omaha World Herald http://www.omaha.com/huskers/after-wait-for-weight-husker-redshirt-nick-fuller-hungry-for/article_94586814-6a88-5811-8cca-29e8766c7826.html
