So how much longer is Richie Pitino still a ... you know ... head coach?
-
I can't assess Palmer's readiness for the league, but I see Copeland a lot like Vincent Edwards, who was third-team all-conference last year as a junior, a 6-8 forward who can score from 3 or in close, and who grabs a few rebounds when needed. I think Copeland is just starting to emerge from his injury-riddled funk, and with another year in Lincoln could be the player Edwards is this year for Purdue.

No worries. You're absolutely correct. Scary either way. Great questions.

You used both "rational" and "nuanced" in 2018 America. Good for you, Norm.

We have been 8-4 or better since 1998-99

If the tournament had been 64-68 teams back before the mid-'80s, those '66, '78 and '83 teams might have done some NCAA damage. Damn. -
We need @huskerbaseball13's take as much as we need anyone else's. It's important to hear from a broad range of opinions, and his is often sharp but necessary. Here's to the eternal optimists, here's to the eternal pessimists, and here's to everyone in between. We all care about Nebrasketball more than anyone probably should. Selection Committee Games of Interest
jayschool replied to hhctony's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Well, if we win out (14-4) and OSU splits its last eight games (four on the road), they're 13-5, and we're at least the three seed. If MSU loses three more and finishes the same, we can be the two seed. OSU road games: @ Purdue, @ Penn State, @ Michigan, @ Indiana. MSU losable games: vs. PSU, @ Indiana, @ Iowa, vs. Purdue, @ Minnesota, @ Northwestern, @ Wisconsin So I'm saying we have a chance. -
Nebraska on the Selection Committee Board

Beat the Gophers! -
Here's to optimism. (And talent.)
-
Agreed. But the head-to-head has to go our way. I can see that as a huge game for our chances. If come out of that 11-4 or 10-5 in the conference with head-to-head wins against both Maryland and Michigan, we're in good shape with a 2-1 finish.

You flop that much, something has to give.

I was wondering if Lisa thought stealing her team's crappy passes should somehow be illegal.

I'm here in Iowa City and listened to LB's whining on the radio post-game. "I can't complain about the officiating, but the game was not called the same in the first three quarters as in the fourth." Wah.

Alright! Just a 10-game win streak and divine intervention away from a possible NCAA berth! Woo-hoo! -

Somebody who's never been to a Nebraska volleyball game, I'm guessing. -

I hate it when crappy shots go in. Can we from now on just say "they bohannon in" or "he really bohannoned that one in"? -
As a Royals fan, I'm hoping our success is more like KC: brief but spectacular. Like, when we finally win one, we win four more. And then the next year we win it all. (Cue the John Lennon music) You may say I'm a dreamer, But I'm not the only one I hope some Jayskers will join us And the state will live as one.
