  1. Do we need to get out the ruler?

  2. That was one of the most positive articles I've read in terms of our chances of landing him. I was impressed that he mentioned some things that were very important to him. Being able to talk to the actual players and interact with them and not just the coaches in order to get the "straight scoop". Also he was impressed that Shavon and Terran reached out to him after his visit ended. This was because he said he knows from already being a college player that players only reach out to recruits if they feel that recruit will not only help the team but also fit in chemistry wise. I also liked that he said when he feels ready he will pull the trigger. He isn't looking to take all his allowed visits. A very mature outlook on things all around. The more I read, the more I hope we land this kid.

  5. “Coach was saying about his ability to play with three guards,” White said. “I think I would fit in, because I’m kind of a prototypical power guard in the Big Ten. Actually, when I played against Shavon and Terran Petteway while I was there, we’re all around the same size, have similar skills.” I like this White kid!

I'm scouring the internet right now for a picture of Andrew White III pushing a wheelbarrow for further analysis.

I think one of the observers may have an elbow deformity. Perhaps a closer inspection will be necessary.

We know that Mattie Fowler is 5'9" I've taken her height from the picture and applied that to Ayegba. Ayegba is approximately 11 feet tall. His signing was much bigger than we anticipated. Oh, great! Eleven feet tall? Now we have to worry about him hitting his head on the backboard and the rim every time he's down in the paint. Had we known this guy was going to be such a potential injury liability, I'd have to think we'd have looked more into taking Bigfoot. Can he be called for goaltending if the ball hits his forehead?

  12. I disagree as I have feeling we are going to land this kid. But don't we always seem to start strongs on kids but can never close on them. Such as Cornish and Deng Or . . . you mean "always" have trouble "closing" on kids like Petteway and Pitchford and Webster and Fuller? To be fair, it does seem like Miles doesn't land many recruits who don't commit on the visit or right after. I can't think of any recruit Miles has signed that took other visits after visiting us and still ended up signing with us. Fuller, Hammond, Petteway, PItchford, Ayegba, Hawkins, and Leslee Smith all committed on or right after their visits. Webster and Tarin Smith committed before visiting.

Perhaps he means highly-rated players or when competing against high-level programs.
